Curative Effect Observation Of Fractional CO₂Laser Combined With Centella Triterpenes Cream In The Treatment Of Acne Hypertrophic Scar

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and security of the treatment of acne hypertrophic scar with fractional CO2laser combined with centella triterpenes cream.Methods:A retrospective analysis of23patients of ance hypertrophic scar with40target lesions were selected in Dermatology Clinic of Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM.The40target lesions were randomly divided into treatment and control group.The treatment group was treated by fractional CO2laser combined with centella triterpenes cream.The control group was treated by fractional CO2laser only.According to Vancouver scar(VSS), target lesions were evaluated by color, thickness, vascular distribution, softness and etc.The target lesions were observed and graded into pre-treatment and twice treatment.Adverse reactions and the duration were recorded.Results:1.After a period of treatment, the effective rate of the treatment group was55%while the rate of the control group was45%. The comparison of two groups had no statistic significant difference (P=0.450>0.05);2.The statistic showned that treatment for twice was better than one time treatment in both groups;3.Duration for delayed work in treatment group was7.10±1.83days, and the control group was9.15±2.21days.The comparison of two groups had statistically significant difference (P=0.03<0.05);4.The transient laser postoperative reactions including mild flush,local burning sensation and slight pain were arised in both groups; During the treatment, the adverse reactions included1case of flush on persistence,2cases of infectious pustules and1case of pain for more than2days. After symptomatic treatment, the symptoms were relieved and there was no serious adverse reactions showned afterward. The comparison of two groups had no statistic significant difference (P=0.598>0.05)Conclusion:Although both group using fractional CO2laser combined centella triterpenes cream and fractional CO2laser have curative effect in treating acne hypertrophic scar. Yet combination of fractional CO2laser and centella triterpenes cream significantly shorten the duration for delayed work. No adverse reactions occurred in both group. Therefore this treatment is deserved to be promoted clinically.
