Study And Design Of Motor Function Rehabilitation Facilities For Elderly People

In the global ageing environment, the aging crisis of China has been particularly serious. The improvement of healthy index of old people has become the focus of whole society. The aim of this thesis is to recover motor function gradually, enjoy life and rebuild self-confidence by the study on rehabilitation devices design of elderly people.The following conclusions have been pointed out by the analysis of the influence of the external environment factors and internal factors. Several external environment factors and internal factors together have an important impact on function decline of elderly people. Several external environment factors include endowment policy, pension mode, living environment, maintenance problems, life quality, daily nursing and safety problems. The later consists of health status, mental state and behavior status of elderly people. This thesis also provides theoretical standard for rehabilitation devices design of elderly people by analysis and summary on the main point of design including interior design considerations, the main design points of safety facilities for function areas and the psychological design needs of elderly people.The study on decline of motor function is universal and valuable by detailed analysis and summary. This thesis mainly analyzes the needs of rehabilitation training, divides three classifications:healthy phrase, disorder phrase and bed time and gets the conclusion that different elderly people should be offered different rehabilitation training. The activities are moderate physical exercise and keeping healthy in healthy phrase. The activities serve for the rehabilitation therapy in disorder phrase. Nursing and regular rehabilitation therapies are the main activities in bed time.This thesis has built comprehensive design concept of rehabilitation facilities and validated the theory by creative design of rehabilitation bed. The design adopts the combination of rehabilitation functional components and the needing parts of body rehabilitation, which improves efficiency of rehabilitation facilities. This thesis has proposed four rehabilitation designs. These are the creative design of upper limb rehabilitation bed, lower limb rehabilitation bed, spinal rehabilitation bed and other functional rehabilitation bed. This design case plays a promoting role in design theory and method’s development of other rehabilitation facilities.
