Objective:To explore the correlation between the GRACE(The Global Registry of AcuteCoronary Events) Risk Score and the elderly Non ST-elevation Acute CoronarySyndrome(NSTE-ACS) patients’ coronary condition based on a retrospective analysisof the in-hospital medical history data of the elderly NSTE-ACS patients。MethodsWe collected the data of the elderly NSTE-ACS patients who are older than65and underwent coronary angiography surgery from July2012to March2013. A totalof88medical history data were taken into account. We calculated the patients’GRACE score according to the patients’ baseline data as age, gender, blood pressure, heart rates, creatinine, myocardial injury markers and the pre-hospital major adversecardiac events, then ranked the patients risk grade as low risk group, middle riskgroup and high risk group according to the international tertiles of risk grade rankingcriteria depending on the GRACE risk scores those patients have got; in addition, weconsulted the in-hospital medical history data to find out the information of thenarrowed degree of coronary artery lesions, the coronary artery lesion count, and thecoronary pathological types; finally, we analysed the correlation between the GRACErisk score and the elderly NSTE-ACS patients’ coronary condition. ResultThere is a positive correlation between GRACE risk score and the narroweddegree of coronary artery lesions(r=0.362, P=0.010); also, there is a certain positivecorrelation between GRACE risk score and the coronary artery lesion count (r=0.262, P=0.014);The GRACE risk score and coronary pathological types arepositively correlate (r=0.439, p=0.439), the higher the GRACE score is, thehigher the proportion of patients with severe pathological type.ConclusionThere are positive correlation between GRACE risk score and the narroweddegree of coronary artery lesions, GRACE risk score and the coronary artery lesioncount, GRACE risk score and the coronary pathological types; the patients’ GRACErisk score may reflect the narrowed degree of coronary artery lesions, the conditionof the coronary artery lesion count and the coronary pathological types among theelderly NSTE-ACS patients.
