ObjectiveFor patients with single maxillary anterior teeth missing, by observing andanalyzing aesthetic effect after using soft tissue level implants and bone tissue levelimplants, evaluated two types of anterior maxilla implants in application range, thesuccess rate, aesthetics, and other relevant factors with pink esthetic score (PES).MethodsTo retrospectively analyze85patients cases with single tooth lose in anteriormaxillary, who had received implant surgery in The Affiliated school of Stomatologyof Zhengzhou University during January2011to July2013. In85implants,41caseswere tissue level implants(ITI),22male patients and19female patients with anaverage age of39.1±2.2years old, and44cases of bone level implants (Ankylos),28male patients and16female patients with an average age of36.8±1.8years old.During the3-6months later follow-ups, observed the oral photographs of these twogroups on baseline and follow-up period, evaluated soft tissue aesthetic aroundimplants with PES index, in order to analyze the respective changes. ResultThe PES index of tissue level implant is7.24±2.23on the baseline up to9.62±2.06in the follow-up period, and the difference is statistically meaningful. Amongthem,2peri-implant mucositis cases occurre and no peri-implantitis occurre. At thesame time the index of bone level implant increases from7.68±2.19on the baselineto10.14±2.01in the follow-up period, the difference is statistically meaningful. And3peri-implant mucositis cases and1peri-implantitis case among them. But thedifferences of single index and sum index in two groups are not meaningful neitheron the baseline nor in the follow-up period.ConclusionBoth aesthesis effect get improved in soft tissue level implants and bone tissuelevel implants during six months after the denture fixed. Clinical observation resultsdemonstrate that these two methods of implant can both provide pretty goodaesthetic effect in anterior maxillary. For anterior region implant restoration, a bonetissue level implant seems easier than the soft tissue level implants to get a goodaesthetic effect. Soft tissue aesthetic is affected by multiple factors, in order toachieve better aesthetic effect, we should be strict in selecting indications, andformulate a reasonable surgical restoration plan.
