Objective:Provide a treatment reference and guideline for implant patients with maxillary anterior bone insufficient using membrane guided bone regeneration technique or not to determine any short term treatment benefits.Method:Divide subjects into two groups; group A and group B. Select 29 patients with maxillary anterior bone insufficient not on vertical and implanted each patient with implant body with MGBR. Stochasticly select 26 patients with maxillary anterior bone insufficient and implant each patient with implant body without MGBR. Observe and record bone conditions and changes around implant body before implantation and before final restoration. Measure the thickness with the vernier caliper, determine the density and the bone loss by X-ray system.Result:1 The thickness of alveolar bone, the average density about the group with MGBR after 4-6 months (before restoration) were statistically differents (P< 0.05)2 The thickness of alveolar bone, the average density about the group without MGBR after 4-6 months (before restoration) were statistically differents (P<0.05)3 Statistically differences show in clinical indicators (the thickness, the density and the success rate)(P<0.05)during 4 to 6 months (before restoration) between group with MGBR and group without MGBR.4 The bone lost around implant body shows statistically difference (P<0.05) between two groups.5 The persist rate shows no statistically difference between two groups (P=0.05) between two groups.Conclusion:1 Membrane can increase the thickness and average density of the alveolar, may slow the early loss of bone around dental implants.2 Thickness, the average density increases and the early loss of bone around dental implants in the patients with membrane are better than patients without membrane. The technique makes good clinical effect on the patients with bone insufficient in the anterior maxilla.3 Part of the bone insufficiency in the anterior maxilla in patients without membrane also have the increased thickness and average density. Provide some reference to the patients without good economy. Since the experimental observation time is short, not long-term effect on the implants to be evaluated, should be observed.
