Observation group were treated with commonly used dialectical acupuncture prescription that Shenmen, Neiguan, Baihui, Anmian, Xinsu, Spleensu, Sanyinjiao (prescription from the new century planning in Higher Institutions of Chinese medicine textbook "acupuncture therapy"7th deficiency of both heart and spleen of insomnia with acupuncture prescription), combined with ear pricking as therapy method, the control group used the same acupuncture prescription with the observation group for treatment. Two groups were treated once every other day,3times a week, cure one month totally; after one month two groups were treated once every other week,4times a week, cure two months totally. The curative effects were evaluated by means of PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale), SDSVD (TCM syndrome scale) before and1and3months after treatment. Health questionnaire (SF-36) was conducted before and3months after treatment. Evaluation of clinical efficacy was made for1month after treatment and the end of treatment.ResultsAt the end of treatment the observation group outweighed the control group in the aspect of clinical evolution (P<0.05). But after one month treatment the two groups had no significant difference in the aspect of clinical evolution (P>0.05). In the two groups before treatment and one month after treatment, one month after treatment and three months after treatment, PSQI score, TCM Syndrome Scale scores were significant difference (P<0.05), indicating that two groups in one month after treatment and three months after treatment were improve the syndromes of TCM and the quality of sleep, but three months after treatment was more efficacy; But the observation group and the control group treated for a month, three months compares, had the significance difference (P<0.05) in PSQI score, TCM Syndrome Scale scores. The score of physiological function (PF), role physical (RP), general health (GH), vigor (VT), social function(SF), role emotional (RE) after3months of treatment were significantly raised as compared with that before treatment in both groups (P<0.01). The score of body pain (BP), mental health (MH) were significantly raised as compared with that before treatment in both groups (P<0.05). But the observation group and the control group treated for three months compares, had the significance difference (P<0.05) in role physical (RP), vigor (VT), social function (SF)(P<0.05).ConclusionAcupuncture combined with ear pricking and traditional acupuncture both can treat deficiency of both heart and spleen of non organic insomnia; acupuncture combined with ear pricking in improving sleep quality, improve the syndromes of TCM and quality of life of patients is better than traditional acupuncture; acupuncture combined with ear pricking is superior in the long-term effect on traditional acupuncture.
