Preparation, Quality Control And Clinical Observation Of Toutongning Mask

Migraine is a common chronically neurological vascular disease, which can seriously affect the patient’s work or study. There is no effective treatment method in present. In this thesis, Toutongning Mask was prepared using Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Asari Radix Rhizoma, Angelicae Sinensis Radix and Borneolum Syntheticum for the treatment of migraine, and the quality control method and clinical therapeutic effect of the mask were studied.Toutongning Mask was prepared by mixing the powders of Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Asari Radix Rhizoma, Angelicae Sinensis Radix and Borneolum Syntheticum. The mask contents were identified by microscopic identification. The imperatorin and borneol in the mask contents were determined by high performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography, respectively. The identification method showed good specificity. Imperatorin showed good linearity in the range of2.25mg/L～90mg/L, and its average recovery was99.28%with RSD1.16%. The regression curve of borneol was linear in the range of0.1932μg～4.829μg, and the average recovery was99.18%with RSD0.66%. The preparation of Toutongning Mask was simple and convenient. The established quality control method was accurate and reliable, which could be used for quality evaluation of the mask.The therapeutic efficacy and safety of self-made Toutongning Mask for treatment of cephalagra was evaluated.100patients with cephalagra were randomly divided into2groups:Experiment group (n=50) received oral aspirin tablet0.3g and self-made Toutongning Mask when migraine was attacking; Control group (n=50) received oral aspirin tablet0.3g and Decoction of traditional Chinese Medicine. There were no significant differences between the two groups in pain-relief, life quality and adverse drug reactions(P>0.05), but self-made Toutongning Mask showed a quicker response in pain-relieving than Decoction of traditional Chinese Medicine. The results demonstrate that effect of self-made Toutongning Mask has definite efficacy and is convenient for use with less adverse drug reactions, it is worthy of clinical application.
