Clinical Study On Female Chloasma Treated By Fire Needle Therapy

Objective:Chloasma is a common skin disease occuring in young and middle-aged female, which is observed on the face、acquired、over-pigmentation and detracted from good looking.It is the most serious harm to the female patient’s health, which may even seriously influence their daily life and work, family happiness. Because its cause is unknow, and there is lack of special safe/effective/convenient/cheaper therapy, it is a hot in medical beaty field. The purpose of this study is to quantitative evaluate the efficacy and safety of the female chloasma(syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis) treated by fire needle therapy, by objective indicators.Methods:We randomly divided60elderly eligible subjects into treatment group and control group (each n=30). Treatment group was treated with fire mutic-needle> fire tricipital-needle and fire monocephalic-needle, and other with vitamin C and E. Both of them were given instructions about details of life. Therapeutic effects was observed at2points (prior treatment,1month after treatment), so was the HAMD score and patient satisfaction testing(very dissatisfied=0/dissatisfiled=1/satisfiled=2/very satisfiled=3). All of the research data was put into computer to establish database, and data analysis and describe by SPSS19.0.Results:Chloasma color score was compared between the two groups(P>0.05) before treatment, which showed they were comparable. But after the treatment, fire needle group lower than control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). Chloasma size score was compared between the two groups (P>0.05) before treatment, which showed they were comparable. But after the treatment, fire needle group higher than control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). HAMD score was compared between the two groups (P>0.05) before treatment, which showed they were comparable. But after the treatment, fire needle group lower than control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). And after the treatment, patient satisfaction on therapeutic result were compared between the two groups, which showed fire needle group higher than control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Fire needle therapy is a new therapy, which can not only alleviate the symptoms, But effect a permanent cure as well, for female chloasma(syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis),which has many advantages other therapy can not analogy with, such as feel its effects immediately、long effect、 easy to operate、save time and strength、safe、cheap、easily popularized widely、 quite satisfactory to patient on therapeutic result.It can provide high quality evidence-based medical evidence for making standardized TCM treatment for female chloasma.
