ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of spleen-regulating and heart-nourishing formula (SHF) on vessel restenosis, through analysis of clinical records data and medical image information of163patients during coronary-artery bypassgrafting (CABG), observation of clinical efficacy of the treatment group and the control group, and evaluation of patency of vessel.MethodsParticipants consist of163patients who had operations of CABG in the period of January2000through January2013in our hospital, and completed medical imaging review on coronary before April2014. There are two different treatments on these patients:the control group which is conducted by giving treatment by traditional Western medicine, without any Chinese medicine, the treatment group which is also conducted by giving the same treatment of the control group, and meanwhile giving SHF treatment. Data acquisition is performed by multiple ways such as survey, investigation of medical and health records of the patients, and interview with them. After that statistical software SPSS (Version17.0) is utilized to analyze collected data. The results of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score, clinical efficacy, ultrasound measurements of cardiac function, and vascular patency are compared between two groups of patients.ResultsThe experimental results show that TCM syndrome scores of the treatment group have obviously decreased after three-month treatment, and it outperforms the control group (P<0.01). In addition, the results of ultrasound measurements of cardiac function indicate that the treatment group has improved greatly compared with the control group (P<0.01). Comparison on patency rate based on different number of blood vessels, and their ages and types also shows that the treatment group outperforms the control group.Conclusion1. SHF can decrease TCM syndrome score, improve clinical efficacy and cardiac function.2. Through comparision of two groups, the vascular patency of the control group is superior to that of the treatment group, especially in SVG...
