Objective:To investigate the assoeiation between Myeloperoxidase gene Polymorphisms and Vascular Dementia. Methods:The genotypes of271Patients with Vascular Dementia and211sex and age matehed health eontrols were detected by ASP-PCR. The Hardy-Weinberg balanee was used to check the fit of genotypes, and the data was analyzed by SPSS18.0.Result:1Study on MPO gene of-463G>A and-638C>A populations with polymorphism. The MPO gene-463G>A polymorphism and allelefrequency distribution for, normal control group:G0.762, A0.238, vascular dementia group:G0.779, A0.221, MPO gene-638C>A allele frequencies, normal control group:C0.846, A0.154, vascular dementia group:C0.812, A0.188, the two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed no effect of genotype-463, G>A and-638C>A polymorphism and the risk of vascular dementia (P>0.05).2In-463GG subgroup, the incidencerate of diabetes mellitus of-638CA+AA and-638CC carriers was significant diference (P<0.05), in-463GA+AA subgroup, the incidencerate was no significant diference (P>0.05). The incidencerate of hypertension was no significant diference (P>0.05) in two subgroups.Conclusion:1The present investigation provides no evidence that the MPO-463G>A and MPO-638C>A Polymorphism might be relavent with the initiation of Vascular Dementia.2MPO-463G>A and-638C>A polymorphism have possible efection on combined with diabetes mellitus.
