BackgroundAggressive behaviors of schizophrenia patients had increased year by year and had gradually received broader attention from the community. Previous studies found that the aggressive behavior of schizophrenics was the interaction of neurobiology, psychiatric symptoms and sociological factors. Studys of neural biology were not easy to implement and influencing factors were not easy to change long term. The previous studies on the related social factors and mental symptoms were lack of comprehensiveness, and often were aimed at the aggressive behavior of patients after admission. In this study, newly admitted schizophrenic patients would be as the research object to explore the occurrence conditions and more related potential factors of aggressive behaviors happened during exacerbation of disease before the schizophrenia patients were admissed, providing more accurate theory for preventing the occurrence of aggressive behavior.ObjectiveTo explore the relative factors of aggressive behaviors in inpatients with schizophrenic.Methods178cases schizophrenic patients continuously admitted were divided into the attack group (91cases)and no attack group (110cases) according to the aggressive behavior duringa month before being admitted, two groups were studied by single factor analysis and multi factor regression analysis in situation, such as demographic data, including age, gender, education level, occupation, marital status, form of onset and so on, the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Coping Style Questionnaire, Social Support Rating Scale, Life Event Scale(LES), Toronto Alexithymia scale (TAS-20), Child Experience Care and Abuse Questionnaire(CECA.Q), Egma Minnen av Bardndosnaupforstran(EMBU)in order to investigate the differences between the attack group and no attack group.Results1. Comparison of general data:Compared with no attack group, the attack group had longer course of disease, more frequency of disease(P<0.05).2. Comparison of psychiatric symptoms:The attack group had higher scores of hostile suspicious factor in BPRS(P<0.01).3. Comparison of personality characteristics:The attack group had higher scores of the E scale of EPQ(P<0.05).4. Comparison of coping styles:The attack group had higher scores of the blaming factor, and the avoidant factor(P<0.05).5. Comparison of social support:There all no significant differences in the objective support, the subjective support, the utilization of support as well as the totle score between two groups(P>0.05).6. Comparison of alexithymia:There all no significant differences in the F1(difficulty to identify the emotion), the F2(difficulty to describe the feeling)as well as the F3(Extroverted thinking) between two groups(P>0.05).7. Comparison of life events:The attack group had higher scores of negative social events, all social events and all negative events(P<0.05).8. Comparison of child care and abuse:The attack group had higher scores in the emotional abuse(P<0.05).9. Comparison of parental education:There all no significant differences in the education mode of father and mother between two groups(P>0.05).10. Comparison of past aggressive behavior:In159cases of several episoding, the number of previous hospitalizations of the attack group(74cases) were more than that of no attack group(85cases), and the attack group’s proportion of patients of previous attacks was significantly higher than that in non aggressive group(P<0.05).11. Regression analysis:The Logistic regression analysis was conducted with aggressive behavior as the dependent variable and every factor of single factor analysis as the independent variable, previous attacks(P=0.0,OR=2.58), hostile suspicious factor(P=0.01,OR=1.16)and the course of disease(P=0.01,OR=1.09) remained the regression equation.Conclusions1. Hostility, suspicion, non cooperation, course of disease, past history of aggressive behavior is the main prediction of aggressive behavior in schizophrenic patients.2. Occurrence of aggressive behavior in schizophrenic patients is apsychiatric symptoms, has nothing to do with the sociological factors.
