The Restoration Treatment Of The Malocclusion Deformity In The Anterior Of Maxilla

Objectives To improve appearance in the anterior teeth of maxilla and correctdeformities problems by means of aesthetic restoration treatment when the patients ofmalocclusion deformity are not willing to accept orthodontic treatment in the anteriorregion of maxilla for some reasons, such as time issue, insufficient cost, etc.Method We selected the six cases of anterior teeth that the patients wanted to improveappearance in the anterior region but could not accept the orthodontic treatment. Twocases was mild dislocation and congestion in the upper anterior and orthodontictreatment could not be completed. One case was mild dislocated and crowded in theanterior teeth accompanying with enamel hypoplasia. One case was mild crowded andreversed in upper anterior with incisal edge defect due to trauma in the childhood. Onecase was dislocated and crowded slightly, accompanying with supernumerary teeth andlateral incisor missing. One case was spaced anterior dentition with the deformed teeth.Before the restoration treatment, the oral existing situations for each case wereanalyzed in details. And the estuary diagnostic wax was made for preliminaryunderstanding of the anticipated aesthetic achievement for each patient after thetreatment. We conducted the face to face communication between doctors and patients,so that patients could fully understand the treatment process and the required costs.Finally, we determined repair treatment.According to malocclusion deformity degree, the teeth which need to change the axisor ectopic tooth teeth should be conducted root canal therapy, and then the axis andpotion of the teeth was adjusted by casting post and core axis. As for the different oral condition, the basic periodontal treatment was planned and completed to maintain ahealthy circumstance for the preparation of the restoration treatment. Then we chosedental composite resin or all-ceramic materials based on patients’situation. Thenanterior aesthetic restorations was finished on the basis of the correct colorimetricmethod, the standard abutment preparation techniques.3-6months after the treatment, the patients were asked for a return visit to observethe effect of the aesthetic repairmen. We made the note of the restoration usage andpatient satisfaction for the anterior restoration. Checking if the prosthesis had the loss,breakage, chipping porcelain, staining or restoration edge leakage problems or not, ifthere was pain in the abutment, or if the abutment was inflammatory. And the objectiveclinical evaluation was made.Result The six cases were completed by all-ceramic crowns, porcelain veneers andother aesthetic fixed restoration treatment. The aesthetic treatments have not onlysolve the crowded or spaced anterior dentition problems in the maxilla bur alsoimproved the anterior defects or deformity situations. After3-6months of visits, therestoration of the edge suitability, shape, color and function can meet the requirementsand recover of the aesthetics and function in the upper anterior region. From the cases ofthe aesthetic restoration in the anterior teeth of maxilla, We have found that definitetherapeutic purposes before treatment, strictly selected indications, a detailed treatmentplan, select the appropriate repair method according to the individual needs of thepatient, the correct colorimetric method, the standard abutment preparation techniquesare key to the success of aesthetic restoration.Conclusion In exceptional cases, such as time issue or expenditure problems, etc, forwhich the patients would not consider the orthodontic treatment, the aestheticrestoration therapy can also solve the malocclusion and deformity problems in theanterior of the maxilla.
