Objective:To study the effects of nutrition and exercise therapy for the treatmentsuccessful rate of patients with type2diabetes.Methods:114cases of type2diabetes mellitus under oral hypoglycemicmedications were selases were randomly diected at Taiwan New Taipei Chung-jenClinic during2009to2014, these114cvided into nutrition and exercise group57cases and control group57cases. The general information, biochemical indicatorsand diet before treatment was no significant difference (p>0.05),they are comparable.nutrition plus exercise group were treated with special diet and prescribed physicalexercise five times a day,30minutes each time, while the control group were treatedwith special diet without prescription of physical exercise. To observe and comparethe biochemical indicator and general information of these2groups, includingHbAlc(glycated hemoglobin),2hPBG (2-hour postprandial glucose), FBG (fastingblood glucose), TG(triglyceride) and TC (total cholesterol), as well as blood pressure, liver function, UA (serum uric acid), etc., for statistical comparative analysis. toobserve the clinical effects of nutrition and exercise therapy for treatment.Result:After six months, the two groups were no significant changes in BMIand UA index (p>0.05); while FBG,2hPBG, HbAlc, TC, TG value were significantlyimproved compared to former treatment (p<0.05),in particular the nutrition andexercise therapy group. The difference was statistically significant (p<0.05) comparedwith the control group. In glycemic control including FBG,2hPBG and HbAlc ofnutrition group patient who achieve the ideal control the number of cases were25(43.85%),23(40.35%) and19(33.33%); while, in the control group there were 14(24.56%),9(15.79%) and8(14.04%). In glucose control, the nutrition plusexercise group was better than the control group (p <0.05); in lipid control includingTC and TG, the number of cases of nutrition and exercise group who achieved theideal control level were33control (57.89%) and14(25.56%) while in the controlgroup19(33.33%) and4(7.01%), the nutrition plus exercise group is better thanthe control group (p<0.05); in blood pressure control, two groups showed nosignificant difference (p>0.05). the treatment successful rate in blood glucose innutrition and exercise group was63.2%, while in control group43.9%, the nutritionplus exercise group was significantly better, the difference was statisticallysignificant (p <0.05); the treatment successful rate in lipid of nutrition plus excercisegroup was64.9%, obviously exceed the control group. Conclusion:Nutrition and exercise therapy can significantly descend the FBG,2hPBG, HbAlc, TC, TG, The lipid levels and control level of blood glucose areimproved and improve the successful rate of diabetes treatment. The nutrition andexercise therapy has an important role in treatment of diabete.
