Objective: To compare the difference of the degree of insulin between thyroid nodulesgroup and non-thyroid nodules group in105normal glucose metabolism patients. Inorder to study the relationship between the degree of insulin resistance and thyroidnodule in normal glucose metabolism patients.Method: To collect the clinical data of105cases of normal glucose metabolism, including patients’ age, height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, liver ultrasound, FPG,2hPG, FINS,2hINS, FC-P,2hC-P, HbA1C, sTSH, FT4, FT3, TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C,BUA, HOMA-IR, to compare the difference between thyroid nodules group and non-thyroid nodules group. According to the age, BMI, the degree of fatty liver, HOMA-IR,those patients were divided into different subgroups, to compare the prevalence ofthyroid nodules between different subgroups respectively, and then proceed multi-factorlogistic regression analysis.Result:1. There were54patients with thyroid nodules in105patients of normalglucose metabolism, the ratio was51.4%. The level of weight, BMI, FPG, FINS, FC-P,2hINS,2hC-P, HbA1C, blood uric acid, HOMA-IR in thyroid nodules group wassignificantly higher than that in non-thyroid nodules group. The ratio of combining withhypertension, hyperuricemia and fatty liver in thyroid nodules group was significantlyhigher than that in non-thyroid nodules group too.2. Among105patients of normal glucose metabolism, there were65male and40female, the ratio of male and female was1.625:1. There was no difference between menand women.3.105patients were divided into different groups according to age, there were no significantly difference in prevalence of thyroid nodules among different groups.4. Comparing with BMI≤23.9kg/m2group, the ratio of thyroid nodules of obesitygroup was higher (P <0.01). With BMI increasing, the ratio of thyroid nodules washigher (P <0.05)5. With the degree of fatty liver increasing, the ratio of thyroid nodules was higher(P<0.05).6. The ratio of thyroid nodules increased while the level of HOMA-IR increasedsignificantly. The ratio of thyroid nodules in(HOMA-IR≥3)group was higher than thatin (HOMA-IR≤3) group(P <0.05).7. To regard the presence of thyroid nodules as the dependent variable Y, and the bodyweight, BMI, FPG, FINS, FC-P,2hINS,2hC-P, HbA1C, blood uric acid, HOMA-IR asthe independent variable X, proceed multi-factors logistic regression analysis, detectionof thyroid nodules and insulin resistance index, blood uric acid, BMI are in positivecorrelation(OR is respectively0.278,0.004,0.115, and the95%CI is respectively1.695~5.043,1.001~1.015,1.046~1.644), but has no relationship with the FPG, andindicating that the insulin resistance index, BMI, blood uric acid is the independent riskfactor of the patients suffering from thyroid nodules.Result:1. The ratio of combining with hypertension, hyperuricemia and fatty liver inthyroid nodules group was significantly higher than that in non-thyroid nodules group.2. Comparing with BMI≤23.9kg/m2group, the ratio of thyroid nodules of obesitygroup was higher. With BMI increasing, the ratio of thyroid nodules was higher.3. The ratio of thyroid nodules increased while the level of HOMA-IR increasedsignificantly. The ratio of thyroid nodules in(HOMA-IR≥3)group was significantlyhigher than that in (HOMA-IR≤3) group.4. The insulin resistance index, BMI and blood uric acid are the independent risk factorof thyroid nodules.
