Acute rejection and renal graft failure were the important results of patients after kidney transplantation for the reason of non-compliance. To provide a basis for establishing a clinical explore effective health promotion model, health promotion intervention strategies are used to improve the patients’compliance, quality of life and long-term clinical outcomes for kidney transplant recipients in this study.The questionnaire of compliance for kidney transplant recipients is determined by literature review and expert consultation as a compliance measurement tool, and it is applied in30kidney transplant recipients for pre-investigation. Then the modified questionnaire of compliance for kidney transplant recipients after pre-investigation is used to investigate218kidney transplant recipients on Xiangya Hospital outpatient before and after the implementation of health promotion strategies for six months, which consists of outpatient follow-up software systems, electronic health records, patient and family health education and green channel for outpatient follow-up, and then evaluating the reliability and validity degree of the questionnaire as well as the effects of compliance interventions. Survey results show that the time of transplantation, transplant number, medical payment method and type of family are the impacting factors of the compliance of kidney transplant patients. Six months after the implementation of health promotion intervention strategy, the scores of medication compliance, lifestyle compliance, self-monitoring compliance, follow-up compliance, and total compliance were significantly all promoted (p<0.05), especially in self-monitoring compliance. The results showed that the questionnaire of compliance for kidney transplant recipients is a reliable and valid tool for measuring patient compliance, and it’s also suitable for compliance evaluation for kidney transplant recipients in China. Outpatient follow-up software systems and electronic health records considered as health promotion intervention strategies can be used as an effective health promotion model to improve compliance of kidney transplant recipients, and it will be better to promote after validated by a large-scale population-based interventions.
