Objective To evaluate the relationship between Lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)]、Cystatin C (Cys-C) and the severity of coronary stenosis (SYNTAX score). To investigate the effect of Lp(a) and Cys-C in the establishment and development of coronary heart disease. And to discuss the velue of Lp(a) and Cys-C in the diagnosis and treatment for coronary heart disease. Methods The subjects who underwent coronary angiography (CAG)(n=175) were divided into the coronary heart disease (CHD) group (n=150) and the non-coronary heart disease (non-CHD) group (n=25). According to the outcomes of CAG. The CHD group was divided into three sub-groups:the mild group, the moderate group and the severe group according to the severity of coronary stenosis (SYNTAX score). Lp(a), Cys-C, apoAl, apoB, TG, TC, LDL-C,HDL-C and fasting blood glucose were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer in all subjects before CAG. The ratio of apoB/apoAl、LDL/HDL、TC/HDL and non-HDL were calculated. Spearman rank correlation was used to evaluate the correlation between Lp(a) and SYNTAX score. Pearson correlation was used to evaluate the correlation between Cys-C and SYNTAX score. Results Compared with non-CHD group, Lp(a) in CHD group was significantly increased (P=0.015). In the three sub groups, Lp(a) in the moderate group and the severe group were higher than that in the non-CHD group (P=0.01,P=0.002respectively). Lp(a) in the moderate group and the severe group were higher than that in the mild group (P=0.001,P=0.001respectively). But between the non-CHD group and mild group, between the moderate and severe group there were no statistically significant difference (P=0.899, P=0.154respectively). The level of Lp(a) was increased with the SYNTAX score. There was a significant positive correlation between Lp(a) and SYNTAX score(r=0.424,P<0.001).The differences of Cys-C was not statistically significant between the CHD group and the non-CHD group (P=0.691); The differences of Cys-C was not statistically significant among the sub groups (P=0.117); Cys-C has no correlation with SYNTAX score. Conclusions The level of Lp(a) in CHD patients was significantly increased compared with non-CHD patients. The level of Lp(a) was increased with the SYNTAX score. There was a significant positive correlation between Lp(a) and SYNTAX score. Lp(a) level can reflect the severity of coronary artery stenosis. And Lp(a) provides references for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of CHD. |
