The nutrition is an event concerned by many people in today’s society. It represents thelevel and the quality of people’s living standard. Children are in a critical period of growthand development, thus the nutrition is every important to them. Nutrition insufficient orexcessive can cause a series of impact to children’s growth. Nowadays World HealthOrganization is hugely concerning about children’s nutrition. And our country also forchildren’s nutrition made a series of related measures. Jishou, the home of the Xiangxi Tujiaand Miao autonomous prefecture of state, is located in the western part of China’s Hunanprovince and is a economic and culture center in this area.This paper adopts the height standard weight method to test1600students through3to6grade in4elementary schools. These schools include The Normal University of JishouUniversity Affiliated Elementary School, The First Primary School, Jishou Fifth PrimarySchool and Jishou Seventh Primary School. Weight of P80is established as the standardweight. Independent sample T test, a single sample T-test and chi-square test methods areused to statistic data. The test result can help us to make an analysis about the nutritionproblem of Jishou’s migrant children and the permanent children’s nutritional status aged9to12. Then we can find the cause of those results form the relationship among variousaspects and the nutritional status. Through those method to find out measures to improvethe situation and provide some reference for the region’s education, health, sports and somerelevant departments to formulate relevant policies.The results show that: Firstly, in Jishou’s permanent children, boys have moreproblems than girls in malnutrition, low weight and overweight higher. Girls’ regularlynutrition status is better than boys’. While in the migrant children, the general situation of thegirls is better than boys’. Jishou’s permanent children and migrant children no matter interms of height and weight is lower than the national form, which has a certain relationshipwith Jishou’ special region. Secondly, Jishou’ resident boys in malnutrition, low weight,weight standard is lower than migrant boys’ in these three aspects, which as well as Jishou’resident girls. Both Jishou’ resident boys and girls are better than migrant children innutrition aspect. Thirdly, in their diet, migrant children prefer the vegetarian and bland,however urban children particularly focus on nutrition and meat. In the weekly intake of milk,migrant children basically take it3-5times a week, while the city’s resident children basicallytake it more than six times a week. And urban resident children and migrant children all liketo eat some high fat fast food and drink some carbonate drinks. Fourthly, in physical exercise, urban resident children and migrant children are not interested in physical exercise.Most of the children use little time to exercise in their spare time. A large part of children ownfuzzy concept in health and their parents also hold indifferent attitude to physical exercise.Countermeasures: to improve the nutrition status of Jishou’s resident children andmigrant children, the following three aspects includes the school sports, dietary structureand the health knowledge should be taken with intervention means. Schools should carryout more physical exercise project. Some interesting national traditional sports can beblended in the classroom according to geographical relations. It is same to the constructionof school sports equipment facilities, especially the migrant children school.
