This paper mainly study on the quality analysis and quality control of ForsythiaeFructus from Henan Province. The main content is divided into the following three parts:The first part is the quality analysis of Forsythiae Fructus of different harvesting time. The content of forsythin, forsythiaside A, ethanol-extract and hundred grain mass aredetermined. The results showed that the content of forsythin, forsythiaside A andethanol-extract is the highest in July17th. But at this time the hundred grain mass is in rapidgrowth period, the yield is low and Forsythiae Fructus hadn’t ripe. Then the content offorsythin and ethanol-extract decreased, the content of forsythiaside A fluctuated in July andAugust. In September, the content of phillyrin and forsythiaside A rebouned, andethanol-extract reached a steady level. In September23rd, the hundred grain mass reachedthe maxium, and the content of phillyrin and forsythiaside A reached the second peak. So theoptimum harvest time for green Forsythiae Fructus is in late September. The content ofphillyrin is highest in October20th and the content of forsythoside A and ethanol-extract arehighest in October7th in grown Forsythiae Fructus. The content of phillyrin, forsythoside A,ethanol-extract and the hundred grain mass are all lowest in November. So the grownForsythiae Fructus should be harvested before November. The second part is the study of HPLC fingerprint of Forsythiae Fructus. HPLCfingerprint of Forsythiae Fructus in different harvesting time shows that the similarity ofForsythiae Fructus harvested in July, August and September are more than0.98, and it is themost stable in September. The similarity harvested in October and November is different.Separate seed and shell of green and grown Forsythiae Fructus. Their fingerprint shows thatthe ingredients of shell and seed are similar. The difference mainly lies in the content andproportion of the ingredients. The similarity of different parts of green Forsythiae Fructus ismore than0.95. The similarity of shell of grown Forsythiae Fructus is low and seed is higher. The fingerprint of different regions shows that the similarity of green Forsythiae Fructus ismore than0.90and the difference between different batches is small. The similarity of grownForsythiae Fructus is low and the difference between different batches is bigger. The third part is the application of near infrared spectroscopy in the quality analysis of Forsythiae Fructus. Discriminant analysis is applied to identify Forsythiae Fructus ofdifferent storage time and varieties. The result is accurate. Partial least squares is applied toestablish the quantitative calibration model of forsythin, forsythiaside A and ethanol-extract.The correlation coefficients(R2) are0.96273、0.99617and0.99780. The root mean squareerror of cross validation(RMSECV) are0.17014、0.46943and1.6095. The root mean squareerror of calibration(RMSEC) are0.0926、0.330and0.732. The root mean square error ofpredication(RMSEP) are0.104、0.352and0.888. The performance index(PI) are70.9、88.3and92.3. The method is convenient and accurate and it’s feasible to determine the content ofphillyrin, forsythoside A and ethanol-extract in Forsythiae Fructus by near-infraredspectroscopy.
