Objective:Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebral Artery Type (CSA) is a kind of commondisease in clinical, which belongs to an important type of cervical spondylosis. Theaim of the project is to observe the influence of blood flow velocity changes of CSApatients after the massage intervention which is based on press-kneading method toFengchi points by clinical study. The project provides objective basis for the methodof treat ing CSA,and also lays a foundation for clinical extending application. Methods:According to the inclusion criteria to choose cases, which don’t divide intogroups, comparing with its own massage technique before and after treatment. Theaim of the experiment is to record the three stages core of clinic syndrome and signbefore and after the first massage (immediately), before and after one period oftreatment, before treatment and after one month follow-up, and collect every group ofdata that patients’ blood flow velocity and average blood flow velocity of bilateralvertebral arteries and basilar artery before and after the first massage(immediately),before and after one period of treatment by TCD examination.Next,we will compare with every group data before and after treatment and analyzerelated data using statistics.Results:(1)There are significant differences in terms of patient’s condition such as dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, neck and shoulder pain, neck test and the total scorebefore and after the first massage therapy(p<0.05), however, there are not differencesin terms of tumble suddenly and tenderness of neck before and after the first massage therapy (P>0.05).(2)There are significant differences in terms of patient’s condition such as dizziness, headache, tumble suddenly, nausea, vomiting, neck and shoulder pain, neck test andthe total score before and after one period of treatment(p<0.05).(3)There are significant differences in terms of main clinical characteristics such asdizziness, headache, tumble suddenly, nausea, vomiting, neck and shoulder pain, necktest and so on before and after treatment(before treatment and after one monthfollow-up)(p<0.05).(4)There are differences in terms of patient’s results such as LVA systolic anddiastolic blood flow velocity, RVA systolic and diastolic blood flow velocity and meanblood flow velocity before and after the first massage therapy(immediately)(p<0.05),however, there are not differences in terms of LVA mean blood flow velocity, BAsystolic and diastolic blood flow velocity and mean blood flow velocity (immediately)examined by TCD before and after the first manual massage(p>0.05).(5)There are differences in terms of patient’s Verte bralis-basilar artery blood flowvelocity in different period. They are examined by TCD before the first massagetherapy and after one period of treatment(p<0.05).(6)There are differences in terms of patient’s Verte bralis-basilar artery blood flowvelocity in different period. They are examined by TCD after first massage therapyand after one period of treatment(p<0.05).Conclusion:1. The main of manual massage with press-kneading Fengchi to CSA patients hascertain clinical effect. It can improve main signs and symptoms of patients in differentextend, and also has immediate effect and after effect.2. The main of manual massage with press-kneading Fengchi has immediate effect toCSA patients’ blood flow changes, which can accelerate the VA blood flow velocityin different periods, but has small impact on immediate BA blood flow velocity. It canaccelerate the blood flow velocity of VBA through the end a course oftreatment, which may has cumulative effect of manual massage.
