Clinical Research Of Zhikepinchuan Mixture In Treating Phlegm-damp Obstructing Lung Of Cough

Objective: Observe and estimate the clinical curative and security of zhikepingchuanmixture in the treatment of cough with the syndrome of phlegm-damp obstructinglung and further discusses this medicine’s function and therapeutic mechanism.Method: A randomized,single blind，controlled clinical research was adopted. Fromthe cough with the syndrome of phlegm-damp obstructing lung patients (to conformthe western medicine diagnosis for acute trachea-bronchitis or chronic bronchitisacute attack) who seek medical advice in the Chinese medical hospital ofQujing,were divided into two groups. The treatment group and the control group,each with36patients. The experimental group (treatment group) were treated withzhikepingchuan mixture,and the other were treated with acute bronchitis syrup.Theyall oral30ml each time,3times a day. The treatment course was5days. Observe thechanges of the main clinical syndrome and the symptom scores, the VAS integralbefore and after treatment in two group, and also evaluate preliminarily about thesafety of zhikepingchuan mixture.Results: Basic clinical information: Two group of patients in the comparison ofbasic information such as gender, age, course of disease, Chinese medicine symptomscores, cough VAS integral, the statistical results were not statistically significant (P>0.05); therefore can be considered as two groups of patients’ basic information werecomparable. After the treatment, the result is as follows:(1) The Chinese medicine symptom scores: After5days of treatment, the two groupwere significantly improved than pre-treatment in the main clinical syndrome andthe symptom scores, the VAS integral, the results had remarkable statisticssignificance (P <0.01); And the treatment group was superior than the control group (P <0.05). That is to say, the treatment of two groups were effective, and thethe treatment group had a higher total than the control group.(2) The major symptom scores: After the treatment, the group the treatment groupand the control group had improved obviously in the major symptom scores, suchas relieving cough (P <0.01); The treatment group was superior than the controlgroup (P <0.05).(3) The total efficiency: After one course of treatment, the total effective rate andmarkedly effective rate were94.3%and68.6%in zhikepingchuan mixturegroup,and the bronchitis syrup group were76.5%and44.1%. Compared thetwo groups after treatment, the results were statistically significant (P <0.05).Itindicated that the treatment of two groups were effective, and the treatment grouphad a superior total efficiency than the control group.(4) The efficiency of condition and kinds of illness: In two group of patients, thecondition light synthesis’ curative effect is better than the heavy. The acutetrachea–bronchitis’ efficiency is better than the chronic bronchitis. Also theexperimental group’s total effectiveness higher than the control group.(5) Secure target: Around two group of patients,there was no significantabnormalities on blood count,liver and kidney function,urine,ECG before andafter treatment, all patients did not appear all kinds of symptoms. It illustratedpreliminarily that the treatment of the cough with the syndrome of phlegm-dampobstructing lung patients (to conform the western medicine diagnosis for acutetrachea-bronchitis or chronic bronchitis acute attack) by zhikepingchuan mixtureis safe and reliable,no obvious adverse reaction.Conclusion:The zhikepingchuan mixture has the function of relieving cough andstopping asthmatic, smoothing lung and resolving phlegm. It is a valid prescriptionfor the treatment of the cough with the syndrome of phlegm-damp obstructing lungpatients (to conform the western medicine diagnosis for acute trachea-bronchitis orchronic bronchitis acute attack).It can quickly improve patients’ cough, phlegm. Thecurative effect is good, and it is safe and reliable,there is no obvious adversereaction,But also, it is made of traditional Chinese medicine preparation purely,so it is easy to be accepted,and it’s suitable for clinical promotion.
