Observing The Curative Effect In The Elderly Community-acquired Pneumonia (Phlegm-damp Obstructing The Lung Pattern) With The Chinese Patent Drug Which Have The Efficiency Of Strengthening The Spleen And Melting The Phlegm

ObjectiveThis project observes the clinical effects of treating The Elderly Community-acquired Pneumonia (phlegm-damp obstructing the lung pattern) with the Chinese patent drug which have the efficiency of strengthening the spleen and melting the phlegm, providing effective evidence for TCM treatment on aged patients with community-acquired pneumonia, and test the level of the high sensitive C-reactive protein as well as the procalcition to investigate the implications in early diagnosis and judgement of The illness severity in patents with Elderly Community-acquired Pneumonia.MethodsDivide the60patients with phlegm-damp obstructing the lung pattern of Elderly Community-acquired Pneumonia into control group and treatment group, with30patients in each group, using the Clinical research methods of random contrast and Prospective. Treat control group with western medicine and treatment group with Traditional Chinese medicine which have the efficiency of strengthening the spleen and melting the phlegm as well as western medicine, for a week as the course of treatment. Estimate the patient on the very first day before and after the treatment.Results1. Compared post-treatment to prior-treatment, both control group and treatment group have a distinct improvement in symptoms, signs, total white blood cells, neutrophils percentage, hypersensitive c-reactive protein and procalcition, chest X-ray and TCM syndrome integral. All other aspects of difference except the symptoms of breathing difficulties (P>0.05) between the two groups have statistical significance (P<0.05),in which the treatment group improved more significantly.2. The total effective rate of treatment group was93.33%higher than86.67%, which was the one of control group, though there was no statistical significance difference between the two groups (P>0.05), indicated that Treating The Elderly Community-acquired Pneumonia(phlegm-damp obstructing the lung pattern)) with the Chinese patent drug which have the efficiency of strengthening the spleen and melting the phlegm was more effective than with the western medicine only, stating that according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine dialectical differentiation combined with western medicine treatment can improve the clinical curative effect so that it is worth of clinical promotion.3. The difference in test results of hypersensitive c-reactive protein in both groups of patients before treatment had no statistically significance (P>0.05), indicated that the data was comparable. And there is a significantly lower after treatment compared with before treatment, between which the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). The test results of hypersensitive c-reactive protein in treatment group reduced more obviously than the control group, difference between which was statistically significant (P<0.05), showing that the curative effect of treatment group is better than the control group.4. The test results of procalcition in both groups of patients before treatment have no statistically significant difference (P>0.05), indicated that the data was comparable. And there is a significantly lower after treatment compared with before treatment, between which the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). The test results of procalcition in treatment group reduced more obviously than the control group, difference between which is statistically significant (P<0.05).5. CURB-65score was performed at different points between groups of PCT concentration difference is statistically significant (P<0.05), with the increase of the CURB-65score, the concentration of serum PCT also increases; Different points between groups of the difference of hs-CRP were statistically significant (P<0.001) with the increase of the CURB-65score, hs-CRP concentration increases.ConclusionTreating The Elderly Community-acquired Pneumonia(phlegm-damp obstructing the lung pattern)) with the Chinese patent drug which have the efficiency of strengthening the spleen and melting the phlegm Combined western medicine has a curative effect affirmation, and an obvious advantage compared to with the western medicine only. Stating that according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine dialectical differentiation combined with western medicine treatment can improve the clinical curative effect so that it is worth of clinical promotion. There is a certain clinical value of combined application in judging the illness severity and early diagnosis by testing hypersensitive c-reactive protein or procalcition. And by testing both the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity can be improved.
