Objective:The analysis of the effect of quality of life in glaucoma patients with different visual field loss and discussing the factors related with quality of life for glaucomaMethods:we have selected66cases (132eyes) POAG and30cases (60eyes) CPACG patients without surgical treatment.According to the AGIS Scoring system,we divided the patients into5groups:one group (binocular mild visual field loss)25cases(50eyes), two group(one mild visual field loss and the other is moderate or severe visual field loss)24cases(48eyes),three group(binocular moderate visual field loss with complementary) llcases(22eyes),fbur group(binocular moderate visual field loss without complementary)15cases(30eyes),five group(binocular severe visual field loss)21cases(42eyes).Completed a questionnaire(Glaucoma Quality of Life-15,GQL-15) and performed a number of tests of visual function.Using analysis of variance and diversity of the t test to compare differences of visual function index and the quality of life score among the five groups and according to the multiple regression analysis to investigate the factors influencing the quality of life for glaucoma.Results:1.Visual function index (Integrated Visual Field VFI, better eye VFI, Integrated Visual Field decibel, better eye visual acuity)showed a negative correlation with GQL-15score, especially the correlation of Integrated Visual Field VFI and Integrated Visual Field decibel are significant.2.The Comparative analysis of Visual function index and quality of life score among the five groups: 2.1The visual function index in Group1,2,3,4are better than Group5and the quality of life scores are lower than Group5(P<0.05).2.2The better eye visual acuity, central and near vision scores and outdoor activity ability have no statistically significant differences among Group1,2,3,4(P>0.05).2.3The visual function index in Group1are higher than Group2,3,4(P<0.05)and the quality of life is better than Group2,4(P<0.05),but the difference between Group3is not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.4The better eye VFI in Group2is higher than Group3(P<0.05)and the rest visual function index between Group2and Group3are not statistically significant(P>0.05),but the peripheral vision, glare and dark adaptation in Group2are worse than Group3(P<0.05).2.5The visual function index in Group2are higher than Group4(P<0.05),but the peripheral vision is worse than Group4(P<0.05).2.6The Integrated Visual Field VFI and better eye VFI have no statistically significant differences between Group3and Group4(P>0.05),but the Integrated Visual Field decibel in Group3is higher than Group4(P<0.05)and the glare and dark adaptation in Group3is better than Group4(P<0.05).3.The factors such as visual function, sex, occupation, and income have influence the quality of life in glaucoma patients.Conclusions:(1)Integrated Visual Field can reflect real visual function better than better VFI and better eye visual acuity.(2) The better the visual function index are, the higher the quality of life is.The Integrated Visual Field VFI and Integrated Visual Field decibel are remarkable visual function index to reflect the real visual function, but the Integrated Visual Field VFI and Integrated Visual Field decibel also have certain limitation and still need to combine with QOL scale.(3) The location installment and severity of visual field loss have influenced the real visual function of patients with glaucoma together.(4)The higher the visual function index, cultural degree and economic income are,the better the glaucoma quality of life is,and the quality of life in the male is worse than the female for severe glaucoma.
