Objective:Observe the clinical effect on TongqiaomingmuⅣto serious period of optic nerve atrophy caused by angle-closure glaucoma,and study the effective cure in this period.Methods:Divide 45cases of 40 patients with optic nerve atrophy caused by angle-closure glaucoma into 3 groups,according to the glaucomatous visual field defect classification made by Elizabeth Hodapp,1993. Give all groups tongqiaomingmuIV for 30 days,then observe the effect of each group from visual acuity, visual field and VEP(visual evoked potential).Compare the date with statistical analysis.P>0.05 is statistically insignificant and P<0.05 is significant.Results:1.The results of visual acuity, visual field and VEP on treatment group have all improved,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05),The results of visual acuity, visual field and VEP on control group have not obvious improved,the difference is statistically insignificant(P>0.05).2.Contrast improvements between treatment group and control group,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).All indicators show that the clinical effect in treatment group is better than control group.Conclusion:TongqiaomingmuIV has obvious effect on improving the condition of optic nerve atrophy caused in serious period.This reflected that through proper treatment on time it would be delayed although apoptosis could not be reversed when it started.To serious period of optic nerve atrophy caused by angle-closure glaucoma,it is still suitable to protect the optic nerve by taking TongqiaomingmuIV.
