Objective: The knee is the biggest joint in human body and it has the most complex structure. The knee is prone to get injured. In the knee injury, meniscal tear is one of the common diseases.Any part of body abnormal will affect the human gait characteristics. In the study of home andabroad, there have a little research on the gait feature in patients with meniscus tears. In this study, data will collected during the walking of young women meniscus tears patients and healthy youngwomen. The gait will be compared, to get the biomechanical characteristics of the patients’ gait.Biomechanical basis would provide for clinical diagnosis and evaluation of therapeutic effect ofmeniscus tear. Methods: The subjects of this study are the young women have unilateral limb meniscus tearand Lysholm score less than66points. Their average age was31.50±6.91years old. Each side ofpatients has6people, a total of12people. The control group chooses12healthy young womenwithout physical illness and the average age was20.75±1.26years old. Germany Novel-emed loadplate, digital camera, the German production of SIMI Motion movement analysis system was usedin the tests. Touchdown time percentage, maximum force, peak pressure and force-time-integralwas recorded as the plantar pressure data in this study. Step length, the time of gait cycle, knee andankle joint as kinematics parameters in this study. Results: Plantar pressure data results show that (1) after making contact with the healthypeople, patient’s percentage of time on the right side of the patient’s heel area (MO1), the arch area(MO2), on the left side of the patient’s MO1relatively healthy longer; On the left side of thepatient’s MO2, forefoot area (MO3) is significantly higher than healthy controls. Patients sufferingside compared with the contralateral, the right side of the patient’s first phalanges area (MO5) wassignificantly lower than the healthy side, and on the left side of the patient’s2-5phalanges area(MO4) area is significantly higher than the healthy side.(2)In the contrast in largest groundreaction force, compared with the young healthy women, the right side patients with lateral MO1,MO2and MO5were significantly smaller. There are very significant differences between the rightside patients and the contralateral in MO5area. The reactionforces in left patients’MO2area were significantly less than the healthy side.(3) In the aftermath of the PP, the right side patient’s MO5,the left side patients MO3area, were significantly lower than healthy people;the right patient’sMO2area is significantly smaller than the able-bodied. Patients compared with the contralateralside were found, the right side patient’s MO3, MO5, the left side patients MO5were significantlylower than the contralateral limb.(4) In the aftermath of the FTI, it didn’t find significantdifferences compared patients with healthy people. The injury side compared with the contralaterallimb, the FTI in right side of the patients MO5significantly less than the contralateralcorresponding MO2area.In kinematic data,(1) step length of young female patients with meniscus tear was less thanhealthy people which showed very significant differences.(2) Patients’ gait cycle were longer thanhealthy people, there were very significant differences.(3) When the heel down to the ground inthe participants walking, the knee joint angle of patients was less than the healthy people, therewas very significant difference; the knee joint angle of patients’ good side is less than control groupshowed significant differences. In patients with toes off the ground in walking, the knee joint angleof patients’ both sides was found no significant difference compared with healthy people.(4) Whenthe subjects in walking at the heel followed ground, the ankle angles of patients bilateral werefound no statistical difference compared with healthy people; in patients with toes off the groundin walking, the ankle joint angle in meniscus tear leg was less than healthy people, there existedsignificant differences. Conclusions: walking gait of young female patients with meniscus tear compared withhealthy women young people, there are characteristics of sports biomechanics, depth study can bemade in the future. It could be used in the clinical diagnosis of meniscal tear and rehabilitationevaluation as a quantitative index of sports biomechanics.
