Background and objective: Gastric cancer is the most common tumor in ourcountry, many factors can affect the prognosis, the prognosis of lymphnode metastasis is one of them,For the lymph node metastasis, scholars tend to studythe transfer amount, but for various reasons, shortage situation of examined lymphnodes number often occurs, this paper explores the rate of lymph nodemetastasis (ratio of lymph node metastasis number and check total)relationship withclinical pathological characteristics in elderly patients with gastric cancer, in order toprovide new ideas for elderly patients with gastric cancer prognosis. Methods: Retrospective analysis of our hospital from January2013to December2013in gastrointestinal department patients admitted76patients who are60years oldor older with first postoperative pathological data. analyse these patients’relationship between cancer staging, gender, degree of differentiation, depth ofinvasion, distant metastasis, vascular invasion and the rate of lymph node metastasis. Results: According to the average rate of lymph node metastasis was18.09%,these76cases were divided into high transfer rate group (≥18.09) and lowmetastasis group (<18.09), analysis of lymph node metastasis rate in elderly patientswith gastric cancer and gender, stage, degree of differentiation, depth ofinvasion, distant metastasis, blood vessel invasion,we can make a conclusion that therate of lymph node metastasis and staging, degree of differentiation, invasiondepth with statistical significance (p<0.05), the rate of lymph nodemetastasis and distant metastasis, sex, whether vascular invasion had no significantdifference (P>0.05). Data scatter diagram analysis andregression available, histological grade and lymph node metastasis rate had no correlation (R <0.1), depth of invasion and clinical stage and lymph nodemetastasis was positively correlated (R>0.1).Conclusion: The rate of lymph node metastasis may have important clinical valuein judging the prognosis of elderly patients with gastric cancer.
