| Objective: To investigate the changes of serum nesfatin-1level in patients withtype2diabetes mellitus(T2DM) and influencing factorsr for it．Methods: Sixty patients with T2DM were selected from the Endocrinology ofthe Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital in January2013to May2013as the casegroup，30non-diabetic volunteers in the Healthy Center at the same period as thecontrol group． ELISA was used to determine the concentration of serumnesfatin-1.The concentration of nesfatin-1of two groups were analyzed．Results:1.Serum Nesfatin-1, waist-hip ratio (WHR), fasting plasma glucose(FPG), fasting insulin (FINS), high glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and insulinresistance index (HOMA-IR) were higher compared with the control group, thedifferences had statistical significance (P <0.001)，high-density lipoprotein (HDL),pancreatic β cell secretion index (HOMA-β) were lower compared with the controlgroup, and the differences had statistical significance (P <0.001).2. Correlationanalysis showed that the Serum Nesfatin-1was positively correlated with WHR, FPG,FINS, HbA1c, HOMA-IR, the course (r as0.475,0.572,0.371,0.548,0.578,0.657; P<0.01),and negatively correlated with HDL, HOMA-β(r as-0.441,-0.534, P <0.01).3. Multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that HbA1c, WHR were majorfactor in increasing the levels of serum Nesfatin-1; WHR was independent factor toelevate the levels of serum Nesfatin-1in patients with T2DM.Conclusion: The level of Serum Nesfatin-1was significantly higher in patientswith type2diabetes mellitus than the control group.It has a close relationship withmetabolism changes of glucose and lipid，and also has a certain correlation with IR（insulin resistance）. |
