Expression Of VEGF, PDGF-A And Ki-67and Its Significance In Colorectal Carcinoma

Objective To investigate the expression of VEGF, PDGF-A and Ki-67protein incolorectal carcinoma and adjacent normal colorectal mucosa and explore theirrelationship with clinicopathological feature.To analyze the correlation in threeproteins.Methods60colon carcinomas and30normal colorectal tissues obtained inoperation were stained by SP immunohistochemical staining. VEGF, PDGF-A andKi-67protein expression in colon carcinoma tissues and normal colorectal tissues wasobserved．To analyze the correlation the impact on the clinicopathological feature.The chi-square test was used to analyze whether the expression of VEGF, PDGF-Aand Ki-67is different in colon carcinomas and normal colorectal tissues. The methodof Spearman was used to evaluate the relevance of expression of VEGF, PDGF-A andKi-67protein.Results1. The positive expression rate of VEGF,PDGF-A and Ki-67protein were53.3%,55.0%，56.7%respectively in60colorectal carcinomas. However, in normalcolorectal tissues, they were16.7%,16.7%，20.0%respectively. Expressions ofVEGF,PDGF-A and Ki-67protein were significantly higher in colorectalcarcinoma than in normal colorectal tissues(P<0.01).2. VEGF,PDGF-A and Ki-67protein expression correlated with depth ofinvasion(P<0.05) and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05) in colorectal carcinomas，On the contrary，correlations were nil with regard to gender of age，sex，tumor sizes and cellular differentiation (P>0.05).3. There was positive correlation between the expression of PDGF-A and VEGF(P<0.05). There was positive correlation between the expression of ki-67andVEGF (P<0.05).There was no significant correlation between PDGF-A and Ki-67protein expression (P>0．05).Conclusion1. The expression of VEGF，PDGF-A and ki-67which were up-regulating incolorectal carcinoma concerned with invasion and lymph node metastasis ofcolorectal carcinoma.2. VEGF, PDGF and Ki-67protein expression correlated with depth of invasion andlymph node metastasis in colorectal carcinomas. On the contrary，correlationswere nil with regard to gender of age，sex，tumor sizes and cellular differentiation.3. The expression of PDGF-A and VEGF have a positive correlation in coloncarcinoma(r=0.363、P=0.004<0．01)．The expression of Ki-67and VEGF have apositive correlation in colon carcinoma(r=0.261，P=0.044<O．05)．The expressionof Ki-67and PDGF-A have no correlation in colon carcinoma(r=-0.183、P=0.163>0．05)．Detection of VEGF,PDGF-A and Ki-67expression in the coloncancer is useful to guide the decision of operation and appraisal of its prognosis．...
