Background:Hypertension is a common disease, long-term hypertension may lead to cardiac morphology and function change, diastolic dysfunction appears earlier than the systolic function. Cardiac abnormalities of diastolic function can be detected Early and accurately, will help to develop treatment regimens, delay the progression of the disease, reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular events, improve prognosis. At present, due to the image quality, ultrasound beam angle, cardiac chamber deformation and many other factors, more and more conventional echocardiography are applied to assess left ventricular diastolic function, but they may not precisely assess the left ventricular function.Tissue motion mitral annular displacement(TMAD) which is based on speckle tracking technology is a new technology. TMAD technology is non-angle dependent, intuitive, simple. Semi-automatic method is used to track valve ring relative to quantitative analyse mitral annular motion parameters and the ventricular tip movement. Objective:To explore the clinical value of automated motion tracking of mitral annular displacement in assessing left ventricular diastolic function in patients with hypertension. Methods:Sixty patients with essential hypertension and25normal persons as the control group were studied by tracking of mitral annular displacement (TMAD) Essential hypertension were divided into left heart diastolic function normal rough and diastolic function reduce group according to doppler tissue imaging (DTI) technology as the gold standard. Mitral annular displacement (De, Da), early-diastolic peak velocity(Em),late-diastolic peak velocity(Am),the De/Da ratios and the Em/Am of six LV wall sites were measured respectively. The mean mitral annular displacement (EDe, EDa), the mean velocity(EVe,EVa) of the six site and the ratios (EDe/EDa, EVe/EVa) were calculated and compaired. Results:Compared with healthy controls, De decreased significantly in essential hypertension patients at six sites (P<0.01). TMAD was positively correlated with DTI in the health controls and patients with hypertension (r=0.692,0.692,P<0.05).Conclusion:TMAD is a new method for clinical evaluation of left ventricular diastolic function.left ventricular diastolic function in patients with hypertension, can assess by it...
