Objective To investigate the effects of peng-hui from different dose onglucose-metabolic in normal male SD rats. Whether effect of peng-hui on glucose metabolismat study explorily, provide a possible basis for the prevention and treatment of diabetes. Methods Male SD rats, were only60were divided four group randomly.Low dosegroup(A)、middle dose group(B)、high dose group(C) and control group. To irrigation stomach573mg/kg,1146mg/kg,2291mg/kg in test group, and the control group ash to equal amountsaline. The feeding time was maintained for12weeks. fasting blood glucose (FBG) andfasting plasma insulin (FINS) were monitored during feedings,Pancreas was taking forcoloration of HE,then pathematology change was inspecting.Results1. Compared with the control group, there were no differences among the testgroups in the fasting blood glucose (FBG) and fasting plasma insulin (FINS).2. The differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05) on the test group in thefasting blood glucose (FBG) and fasting plasma insulin (FINS).3. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05) between test group and controlgroup in the weight.4.In compared with the control group, HE staining showed that theexperimental group of pancreatic vascular dilatation and congestion.Conclusions1. peng-hui to normal rats had no effect on the sugar metabolism.2. peng-hui can effect weight of rats.3.peng-hui can leads to dilatation and congestion of pancreas..
