With the development of agricultural mechanization,spray car is widely used in irrigation and fertilization. It is particularly important to provide a comfortable cab because of harsh operating environment and long working hours. A comfortable cab can reduce driver’s fatigue greatly and has an important role to driver’s health. It maybe enhance market competitiveness of the spray with a comfortable cab. So, it’s needed to design a cab which is matching the spray. And do some necessary analysis about the cab. The main work which has completed is summarized as follows:(1) Make a brief description of the spray vehicles about the current development status, and compare the gap about the technology of spray cab between domestic and foreign. Then propose the requirements in designing spray cab which is according to the structure designing rules、 safety requirements 、 ergonomic layout principles of the tractor cab.(2) Design structure of the spray cab according to two-dimensional engineering drawings of a section of tractor cab, and combining with the dimensions of the spray car. Then arrange the operating equipment inside the cab according to ergonomic layout principles. After designing, make up 3D model of the spray cab and analyze the various working posture of the driver in the cab what is used to ensure the designing of space、visibility、comfort meet the design rules.(3) Proposed security strength requirements when design the spray cab. And analyze the security strength of the model according to the OECD test standards. The analysis content five conditions: rear-pushing, rear-crushing, front- pushing, front-crushing, side-pushing. The result show that the frame cab haven’t invade region of DLV when the cab suffered load. So the cab which is designing for spray car is satisfied with the security requirements of strength.(4) Do modal analysis of the spray cab and calculate the mode shapes and natural frequencies. Then raise some strength issues about the cab according to analyze each vibration mode, and propose some reference for the actual production.This paper gives the process of designing and steps of analysis when design a spray cab. And established the cab model by using CATIA, analyzed the security strength, ergonomics, vibration characteristics of the cab by using ABAQUS. It provide a guiding significance when product the prototype of spray cab. what’s more, provide a reference for subsequent analysis of the spray cab.
