27-year-old Pinus koraiensis provenance test plantations in Maoershan and Lushuihe test sites and cones collected from Maoershan test site were studied. Traits of growth, wood properties, biomass, carbon storage and seed and fruit were chosen to study on genetic variation, variance analysis, geographic variation and correlation analysis from provenance. High carbon storage provenances of Pinus koraiensis were selected. The main conclusions are as follows:Growth, biomass and carbon storage traits of Pinus koraiensis from provenances in Lushuihe test site had rich variation, mean of variation coefficient were 24.05%,62.50% and 48.30%. Most traits of growth, wood properties, biomass and carbon storage were significantly or very significantly difference in variance analysis. Trunk, root and crown had 61.2%,17.9% and 20.9% in whole plant about distribution of carbon storage. Biomass traits were mainly affected by altitude and annual precipitation. Carbon storage traits were mainly affected by latitude and altitude. The carbon storage was extremely significant positive correlation with volume, biomass, holocellulose and basic density. Lushuihe, Linjiang and Dahailin provenances were chosen as the optimal Pinus koraiensis provenances with high carbon storage.Growth, wood properties, biomass and carbon storage traits of Pinus koraiensis from provenances in Maoershan test site had rich variation, mean of variation coefficient were 25.88%,16.34%,51.50% and 35.53%. Most traits of growth, wood properties, biomass and carbon storage were significantly or very significantly difference in variance analysis. Trunk, root and crown had 55.6%,16.9% and 27.6% in whole plant about distribution of carbon storage. Biomass and carbon storage traits were mainly affected by altitude and temperature. Carbon content traits were mainly affected by sunshine duration. The carbon storage was extremely significant positive correlation with volume and biomass. The carbon content was extremely significant positive correlation with lignin. Wangwing, Caohekou and Bajiazi provenances were chosen as the optimal Pinus koraiensis provenances with high carbon storage.Seed and fruit traits of Pinus koraiensis existed abundant variation and variation coefficient was from 10.58% to 44.38%. Most seed and fruit traits were significant difference. Altitude was significant or very significant related to most of seed and fruit traits, which indicated that altitude was the main factor of affecting seed and fruit traits. The number of cones was only significantly positive correlation with cones weight and most of the other traits were significant or extremely significant related to each other.
