Introduction Experiment Of Different Blueberry Species In Shaanxi Province

Blueberry is a kind of plant in Vaccinium( Ericaceae), and named as “king of the generations of fruit”. Because the high nutritional value, markets cannot meet the needs. The development of blueberry industry in China is late. At present, Northeastern region and Shangdong area, whose development speed and scales developed rapidly. At the same time,the development of blueberry industry in Shaanxi Province is still at the starting stage. Owing to lack of the regional suitable varieties and cultivation techniques, the production of blind introduction and other issues are very pressing. The aim of this survey is to discuss and summary the key step of blueberry cultivation techniques of Shananxi Province. Observation on botanical characteristics, the habits of growth and yield and fruit quality, evaluating blueberry comprehensive characteristics with the DTOPSISI method, then making recommendations of variety ratio in Shananxi Province. Here is the conclusion on the survey:(1) Observation results of agronomic characters showed that: Rabbit eye blueberry show vigorous growth, Highbush and Southern highbush blueberry was in the middle. Apart from Rubel and Herberd,let all Northern highbush grow slowly and weakly.(2) Yield determination showed that: Bonus, Brightwell and Gardenblue have strong resistance. Fruit weight determination showed that: Northern highbush blueberry > Rabbit eye blueberry> Southern highbush blueberry > Highbush blueberry, among the larger fruit weight is D-II, Lateblue and Legacy.(3) The fruit quality analyses indicated that: the differences of total soluble solids(TSS)between Northern highbush, Southern highbush and Rabbit eye blueberry are significant. The differences of content of Vitamin C are significant, Southern highbush with the highest content, Northern highbush in the significant differences, but litter differences in Rabbit eye blueberry. The content of reducing sugar between testing varieties is 6.3~9.3% and total acidity is 0.2~0.9%.(4) Choosing 16 indicators and using DTOPSIS analytical method, the analyses indicated that: ten varieties Brightwell, Gardenblue, Baldwin, Choice, Tifblue, Austin, Bonus,Northland, Herberd and Woodard were screened out for their better integrated properties and stable cultivated characters.(5) Based on analyzing the present situation of blueberry industry in Shaanxi Province,according the preliminary finding, then giving advice on variety ratio in Shananxi Province:Bonus is early maturity and the ripening date is in early April. Brightwell, Gardenblue,Baldwin, Choice, Tifblue, Austin are late maturity; the others the ripening date are from mid April to early June.
