This experiment studied the effects of adding different levels of safflower seed oil to pig diet on finishing pig growth performance, meat quality and FATP1 gene expression levels. In this experiment, we select 60 "Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire" crossbred fattening pigs which their weight are around 60 Kg for the study, randomly divided into four treatment groups, each treatment group three repeats.Four treatment groups were:control group (containing 1.2% soybean oil); group 2 (containing 0.8% soybean oil, safflower seed oil with 0.4% instead of 0.4% soybean oil); group 3 (containing 0.4% soybean oil,0.8% safflower seed oil instead of 0.8% soybean oil); group 4 (1.2% safflower seed oil instead of 1.2% soybean oil).By feeding experiment, slaughter experiment and measuring growth performance, blood biochemical indicator, carcass, meat quality, fatty acid composition of pork, and use the technology of real-time quantitative PCR determination the gene expression in muscle of fatty acid transport protein1(FATP1).1.Safflower seed oil diets improved growth performance of fattening pigs. Safflower seed oil has been improved average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI), reducing the ratio of feed (F/G) trend, but each treatment group difference was not significant (P>0.05), add 0.8% safflower seed oil is the highest daily gain group.2.Supplementation safflower seed oil to albumin (ALB) (P>0.05), total protein content (TP) (P>0.05) and catalase (CAT) activity (P>0.05) has no significant effect; significantly enhanced the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity (P<0.05);has reduced malondialdehyde (MDA) content of a trend (P>0.05).3.Safflower seed oil significantly reduced the average backfat thickness(P<0.05); significantly improved fattening eye area (P<0.05); And has improved dressing percentage, carcass weight trend (P>0.05). Of which 0.8% safflower seed oil has the best effect.4.Add safflower seed oil reduces drip loss (P<0.01) and shear force (P>0.05). But the impact on color, marbling, PH and cooking loss was not significant (P>0.05).5.Supplementation safflower seed oil significantly reduced total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein (LDL) content, which added 0.8% safflower seed oil was the lowest (P<0.05).6.Safflower seed oil improves flavor nucleotides of pork, safflower seed oil significantly increased the content of inosinic acid (P<0.05); on guanylate content was not significant (P>0.05).7.Safflower seed oil to pork flavor amino acids, essential amino acids, total amino acid has a content of certain improvement, significantly increased glycine, valine content (P<0.05).8.Add safflower seed oil has been improved linolenic acid, linoleic acid, DHA, essential fatty acids, and unsaturated fatty acids, total trend (P>0.05).9. Add safflower seed oil to improve the longissimus muscle mRNA expression of FATP1, which 0.4% of safflower oil group of FATP1 expression level was highest (P<0.05).In a word:safflower seed oil can improve the production performance of fattening pigs, regulating blood biochemical indicators, have a certain effect to improve the quality of pork.
