Research On Methodology Of Carbon Accounting With Shrubbery In The East Section Of Kubuqi Desert

China’s carbon trading market will be officially launched in 2017. As the main part of the offset mechanism, forestry carbon sink is pushed forward all over the country. Nowdays, methodolody for the record in the national development and reform commission only involve macrophanerophytes, grasses and bamboos, and that of shrubs is attached to macrophanerophytes. Through field sampling, biomass models of caragana and salix psammophila were obtained which include both aboveground and underground. Meanwhile, baseline contents including carbon pools, project period and included in the period, the baseline scenario recognition, additionality demonstration were compiled, and the destiny was uesd to estimate the total biomass of shrubbery which are grown at the same time. Taking a sample plot which is as large as 333 hectares in the east section of Kubuqi, we can obtain that the number of CO2 equivalent emissions reduction the program produces is nearly 17,505t,875t/a. These conclusions can provide valuable advices for the forestry project owners who undertake afforestation program in ecologically fragile desert. In addition, in order to stimulate the carbon market, reasonable and feasible suggestions are put forward according to various problems leaked out in recent years.
