Methionine is an important proteinogenic amino acid, it is an important ingredient to pet foods. But the production of Methionine is very low at present in China. So, it’s hard for China to change the situation of importing Methionine every year. How to turn this aspect? Our Primary goal is to introduce or develop new project which can increase the capacity of Methionine.Many Chemical raw materials of Methionine are dangerous. Such as they are flammable, explosive, toxic, corrosive, foul odor etc. In addition, if the factory centralized many Chemical materials together when produce Methionine, it will cause a lot of security implications.The newly Methionine factory belongs to typical high risk chemical construction projects. How to site and protect the environment is the first task for the design and construction unit. And it is a new sphere that the safety government department must pay heels to.Based on the successful researches of choosing safety site from domestic and international, and combined with our own study, this article choose a new topical to discuss how to find a safety site. It analysis the inner dangers of facility by many specific cases and a lot of data that we collected. The essay finds many qualitative and quantitative estimates for risk degree, use leak simulation, calculate safe distance. At last, it comes up with targeted recommendations and scientific basis for a new Methionine project. It will also be a relevant for other chemical projects.
