Their flowering phase are easy to control to form a stunning landscape; their long period of dormancy are convenient for management; various plants of the same genus make the flowers blooming continue for a longer time, which are easy to form a richer landscape; their ornamental value are high because they cover almost the current all colour of flowering plants;the height of flowers in a growing season change all the time, forming the changing landscape. The abroad use earlier about the landscape application of bulb flowers, with independent intellectual property rights of more varieties. The domestic application of bulb flowers gradually widely, especially in first and second-tier city landscape.Shanghai is one of the important city of China and the international exchange of new varieties of flowers, has the abundant scientific research conditions and loose landscape application conditions, the application and popularization of the bulb flowers can on behalf of the Chinese city of high level on the application of the bulbous flowers at the moment. In this paper, it is against this background of bulb flowers in Shanghai botanical garden application present situation investigation, and based on the ecological habit of bulb flowers itself and ornamental characteristics, to explore the application of bulb flowers form and so on, summarizes the plant disposition pattern with high promotion value, and puts forward to promote flowers, so that the surrounding targeted to draw lessons from other regions, in order to guide the local bulb flowers application and landscape construction. The main research results are as follows:1. The combination with literature data, etc., further analyse the definition of bulb flowers; refer to ancient documents, landscape history and current research information, summarized the research history and present situation of both at home and abroad; The paper summarizes the classification of bulb flowers. On this basis, the study content of this article is clear.2. The different levels of city parks in Shanghai, botanical gardens, roads,are researched for nearly a year to research the ornamental characteristics of 85 different bulb flowers, application forms; The research results were analyzed.37 commonly used bulb flowersin Shanghai were listed.3. According to the research results,analyse the species uesd,advantages, disadvantages and existing problems of the current used bulb flowers.4. Put forward the optimization models of the application of high frequency bulb flowers in landscape, and recommend suitable bulb flowers for promotion and application in other nearby areas.
