| As one of the most precious botanical resource in China. Bamboos are always selected and collocated to be the landscape plants in many gardens because of their slender appearance and pretty postures, as well as they are regarded as metaphors of modesty, integrity and constancy of all time due to their hollow stems. Therefore ornaments with bamboos for landscape architectures can give gardens a Chinese classical style, which means 'origining from but transcending Nature', and demonstrate a graceful, tenacious and exalted virtue by their evergreen impression.Proceeding from the present situation of bamboo species distribution, this paper obtained a great deal of first-hand knowledge about the growing state and various influences of bamboos from different areas, by investigating their growing state of bamboos from Shanghai Botanical Garden, Wan-zhu Park of Gongqing Forest Park, Shanghai Guyi Garden, Oriental Oasis, Hongqiao Airport and analyzing their soil with the method of set pairing. Furthermore, it sums up allocation and collocation of bamboo species by conducting on-the-spot investigations and recording photographs of over 30 green lands, which provides strong support for bamboo allocation.Besides the macroscopic investigate mentioned above, this article has also made detailed analysis on allocation model between several kinds of bamboos and other plant's. This article illustrates their competitiveness and fitness of mutual collocation from light, moisture and nutrient. Besides, it tried to find corrective measures to reduce competitive forces on bamboos from other plants. The last part of this article is summarizing, directed at cultivation of bamboo species, management, and maintenance. This article aims at building exquisite bamboo grove landscape and constructing high-quality ornamental Chuk Yuen, and develops researches on ornamental bamboo cultivation.
