Bowl-seedling transplanting is one of the important ways to improve the yield and quality of crop, bowl-seedling seeding is an important link in the process of bowl-seedling transplanting. But there are problems such as complex structure, difficult processing and not universal of bowl-seedling seed metering device. In order to solve this problem, this paper uses the VB programming language to carry on the development of the design platform of the seed metering device of the corn bowl-seedling.The development background and tools, design objectives and functions of the platform are described in detail in this paper. Based on an existing design theory of the seed metering device of the corn bowl-seedling of socket-roller, through the mathematical model of the seed metering device structure and performance design parameters, the parameters input and parameters output module and curve output and optimization module are built, and the platform is realized. The seeding experiment was carried out by using the seed metering device designed by the platform, which proved the feasibility of the platform. On the basis of the platform, the theoretical analysis, optimum design and experimental verification of the seed metering device of the finger clip type corn bowl-seedling were carried out. According to the structure and performance design parameters and influence factors, the mathematical model and design module were built, and the optimum design of the seed metering device of the finger clip type corn bowl-seedling was completed. Through experimental verification show that the use of platform for rapid design and optimization of finger clip type seed metering device, seeding results meet the agronomic requirements and national standards. It is proved that the theoretical analysis and the mathematical model of the seed metering device of the finger clip type are rationality.By using corn bowl-seedling seed metering device design platform, can rapid design, analysis and optimization of seed metering device. The seed metering device can according to the requirements of different sowing, seed characteristics and bowl characteristics for different design and meet the requirements of different design, with certain versatility, it can shorten the design cycle.
