Xinjiang Hami melon is the traditional agricultural products that many people like. With Melon "expansion south" and long period of continuous cultivation of Xinjiang Hami melon, traditional quality, productivity and competitivity of Hami melon will be continually challenging. Cultivation of organic Hami melon is an important meaning to manage this embarrassing situation. This research concentrately studied the key technologies in the organic Hami melon production in Nom direct including field experiments of different varieties of Hami melon and different kinds of organic fertilizers and botanical pesticides. The main results were as follows:1. Through the experiments of varieties comparison, Hami melon 8501 and Xizhoumi-17 were the suitable varieties for the organic Hami melon production in Nom.2. The field fertilizer experiments indicated that humic acid organic fertilizer was superior to livestock manure compost and compound microbial fertilizer. The humic acid organic fertilizer could improve the production of Hami melon and increase the content of sugars and Vc. As a result, it could promote the economic benefits.3. The result of toxicity determination of 4 botanical pesticides indicated that the osthole against Hami Melon Aphid and matrine against Hami melon spider mite exhibited superior contact toxicity, LC50, 285.63 mg/L and 262.63 mg/L, respectively. The results showed that all the treatments had different levels of efficiency. 10% Osthole aqueous emulsion formulation exhibited better control of Hami Melon Aphid than the other two pesticides in the concentration of 30g/hm2. 0.3% Matrine aqueous formulation exhibited better control of Hami melon spider mite than the other two pesticides in the concentration of 3.9g/hm2. The three botanical pesticides were safety to Hami melon, and had significant increased effect on crop production and no chemical injury.4. In addition, this study summarized a relatively complete system of technology for organic Hami melon production, which had a certain reference value for organic melon production.
