Objective: In recent years, with the development of agricultural science and drip irrigation technology,fertigation technology has been gradually popularized. It is the developing direction of irrigation and fertilization technology. At present, Xinjiang and its Corps use a simple method of fertilization such as fertilizer tank and pool as its agricultural facilities, failing to achieve the precision of irrigation and fertilization. The issue that the operation is either too simple or too complicated still remains to be solved.By studying the fertigration technology abroad and considering the characteristics of the agricultural facilities in Xinjiang and its Corps, we designed an automatic water and fertilizer integrated system with an independent intellecual property rights which can adapt to local conditions. Besides, it is easy to learn and operate, and it also has the features of intelligence automation, precision. Automatic integrated system designed in this paper have great significance in the agricultural production in Xinjiang. Combined with sand cultivation techniques, it promotes the sustainable development of agriculture in Xinjiang.Methods: First of all, we study the integration technology abroad, and on the basis of cultivation and agricultural information technology, an automated water and fertilizer integrated system is designed. The irrigation technology of this system can use tap water or water reservoir as headwaters. It adopt proportion of fertilizer pump to achieve precise ratio of water and fertilizers. The control system uses PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) technology and touch screen technology to preset the parameters of irrigation system to achieve regular and quantitative automation. FDS is used to measure soil moisture, and combine moisture monitoring system to achieve precision irrigation. Ectestr soil conductivity meter is used to monitor soil fertility status and combined with proportion of fertilizer pump technology to achieve precise fertilization. Through the organic combination of the three parts, we can achieve an automatic design of the entire integrated system of water and fertilizer.Results: The whole system of automatic fertigation( fertigation module, control module and sensor module)functions steadily by designing, applying, debugging and optimizing. This system has automation, wide applicability, easy maintenance and economical usefulness. To test the reliability and practicality of this system, we select the sand in the southern and northern parts of Xinjiang as a planting substrate. We change the original soil cultivation methods of fruits and vegetables, and refer to the production management technical specifications of greenhouse vegetable to realize the efficient cultivation in sunlight greenhouse.The application of automatic systems have made a progress in the yield and quality of some fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers and strawberries, which was the originally goal of the system. This system is designed to achieve a precision irrigation and fertilization which is suitable for the conditions of Xinjiang agricultural facilities with the features of intelligence.
