The experiment was conducted to study effects of fermented corn straws on growth performance, dietary nutrient digestibility, cecal fermentation and microbial flora of fattening pigs, in order to provide the scientific reference for reasonable application for corn straws in fattening pigs. Seventy-two crossbred pigs with good health and similar body weights(30.4 ± 1.53kg) were selected pigs were randomly divided into four treatments with three replications. And each replication contained six pigs reared in the same house.Experimental treatments included the control group, 10%, 15% and 20% fermented corn straws group. The trial lasted 80 days including the three-day pre-trial stage and seventy-seven trial stage. Feed and water of pigs were ad libitum.Accurate records of intake in each group were made and observed feeding conditions and the health of pigs.At the end of the test, each randomly selected six pigs were slaughtered, sampling measurement of volatile fatty acids in the cecum and microbial flora. The results show that: adding different proportion of fermented corn straw, significantly improve the average daily testing porcine feed intake and feed conversion ratio(P < 0.05), but in the whole test period average daily weight gain was not significantly difference(P > 0.05). With the amount of added fermentation straw increased, the nutrient digestibility were significantly decreased(P < 0.05). Differences in volatile fatty acid and pH content of fermentation to produce the cecum was not significant(P > 0.05), but with the added amount of fermented straw increased caecal pH had a decreasing tendency, acetic acid content increased, total volatile fatty acid content of up to 15% straw group, the best fermentation effect of straw group 15%. By high-throughput sequencing results and PCR-DGGE mapping analysis add fermented corn straw table in a diet, pigs cecum microbial diversity increased, the microorganism to Firmicutes(Firmicutes) primarily, the content can reach 61.73%-86.51%; Streptococcus(Streptococcus), Acetivibrio(vinegar Vibrio), Lactobacillus(lactic acid bacteria) and Ochrobactrum(Ochrobactrum) in the cecum content increased relatively; also found that Robinsoniella(Ruminococcus), Paraprevotella(Poulet Was spp.), Succinivibrio(succinate Vibrio) can decompose fiber material spp. there, along with the increase of the addition amount of straw has also increased its total.By the above research results show that, with the added amount of fermented corn straws had little effect on the performance of fattening pigs, but it can significantly increase the average daily fees intake and feed conversion, significantly decrease the nutrient digestibility and improve the microbial diversity of the cecum. In conclusion, the effect of 15% fermented corn stalks on feeding effect is the best.
