62 tobacco-growing area of Baoshan in Yunnan Province of soil and tobacco leaves as the research object. Eight indices from 4132 representative soil samples were collected to evaluate the nutrient and fertility suitability of tobacco soil in the Baoshan city. They are p H, organic matter, alkali- hydrolyzable N, water soluble C l, available P, available K, available B, available Zn. Seven chemical indexes of 1778 samples of tobacco leaves harvested range from 2008 to 2012 from 62 counties of Baoshan in Yunnan Province were determined. Through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and principal component analysis and cluster analysis methods to evaluate planting tobacco soil suitability evaluation and chemical composition of flue-cured tobacco usability evaluation, according to this to tobacco-growing zoning. The main conclusions are as follows:Member function and principal component analysis were firstly employed to process these data and define the weights of soil nutrients respectively based on principal components analysis, and the non- linear member ship function was used to transform the indicators into dimension less data and to evaluate single indicator the radar plot was used to reflect the single factor fertility and the integral fertility. The results indicated that: The IFI had little change among counties: they varied from 0.12 to 0.96, with CV(coefficient of variation) of 25.85%. The proportion of soil fertility grades II and III accounted for the vast majority(68.42%), V proportion is very small(1.28%).The usability indexes of the chemical components were calculated with membership function method, and the usability of chemical components of those samples was comprehensively evaluated. According to the chemical composition of tobacco leaf usability index of Baoshan city chemical component availability can be divided into five levels. The results showed that: 1) The contents of total sugar, reducing sugar, total nitrogen, nicotine, potassium content, protein, NIT/NIC both in the appropriate range, chemical composition variation degree is low, good chemical is compatibility. Chlorine, sugar/alkali, potassium chloride than the overall is appropriate, is beneficial to the safety of tobacco leaf, but their variation is on the high side.2) The contents of sugar/alkali, NIT/NIC membership values are less than 0.50, the total nicotine is close to 0.50, they are all influence the Baoshan city tobacco leaf chemical components of coordination of limiting factors.3) Baoshan city tobacco usability index averages 0.65, the evaluation results Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ accounted for 75.70%, Ⅰ level 11.81%, Ⅴ level is only 12.49%. Coordination of tobacco chemical composition is good, and tobacco chemical composition with smaller variation level.Tobacco in Baoshan city, sensory evaluation result analysis shows that pleasure, richness, sending, aroma, smooth, sweetness, stretching, clouds, downy, concentration, mixed gas, stimulate, aftertaste, smoking index score in fifty four country were significant differences. There were significant differences between total score in every township in Baoshan city. Shidian, C hangning is significantly higher than Longling, Longyang, Tengchong. Mixed gas, sweetness, aftertaste of tobacco sensory evaluation score less effective, is the limit factor of baoshan city tobacco sensory evaluation of suction. Shidian sensory evaluation scores highest absorption, followed by C hangning, Longyang, Longling, Tengchong.Flue-cured tobacco-growing zoning based on soil nutrient and tobacco leaf quality in Baoshan. Maintain integrity of the township administrative boundary. Baoshan is divided into two partitions. Flue-cured tobacco- growing zoning in Baoshan have good discrimination with soil nutrient and sensory evaluation.
