The Research On Hangzhou Flower Exhibition

As one of the important forms of tourism activities, the flower exhibition can produce enormous social and economic benefits. This paper takes the representative flower exhibition of Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area as the important research object to explore the methods of exhibiting and operating flower exhibition systematically based on the methods application of information retrieval, field research, data analysis, summary, expert consultation and other related field theoretical knowledge. Both the methods of exhibiting and operating flower exhibition and the countermeasures about the flower exhibition of West Lake Scenic Area were presented. This paper mainly includes the following contents:1. Through the flower seeding industry and the situation of flower exhibition distribution and development focusing on the flower exhibition development status of Hangzhou the conclusion that was drawn based on the methods application of data collection, field research and RMP theory. The characteristics can be summarized as follows: There is still room for development although Hangzhou has diverse types of flower exhibition, abundant basic resources and huge market potential. The flower exhibition in urban district has the advantages of diverse contents, beautiful landscape and better exhibition system and the flower exhibition in other district has the certain convergence based on the agriculture and natural resources. And the relation of supply and demand is between the flower exhibition and the thriving flower seeding industry.2. Focusing on the tulip exhibition of Taizi Bay Park, lotus exhibition of West Lake, osmanthus festival of Manjuelong Village and chrysanthemum festival of Botanical Garden, the paper points out that the methods of exhibiting and operating flower exhibition should start from plan, planning and design and market operations with full consideration of non-exhibition development on the basis of analyzing the aspects of history, landscape construction, cultural value, activities, brand and benefit analysis.3. This paper also discusses the development situation of the flower exhibition of West Lake Scenic Area with the methods of exhibiting and operating concluded from the representative flower exhibitions and proposed the government guidance, exhibition system, planning of the flower exhibition and development strategy should be taken into consideration while planning.4. The sustainable development of flower exhibition was analyzed through resource utilization, quality assurance, strategy innovation and social service in order to provide the theoretical basis and reference methods for the flower exhibition of Hangzhou as well as other region’s.
