Research On Application Of Osmanthus In Landscape Creation

Osmanthus is one of the ten famous flowers in China. In recent years, along with the research and application of traditional famous flowers in China seriously, rise around the construction and renovation of osmanthus garden’s passion. Hangzhou "Man Long Gui Yu" Park has a long history, in the early period of the Southern Song Dynasty,"Man Jue Long" has been planted with large areas of osmanthus,is the only one Osmanthus theme park in Hangzhou currently, Thus "Man Long Gui Yu’"s osmanthus landscape is a historical process, in the long history of development with constantly improve and mature before the formation of today’s "Man Long Gui Yu" park.the plant species in "Man Long Gui Yu" park is rich, the park is a reasonable mix of sweet-scented osmanthus and focus on different elements of the landscape in the process of inter-construction, creating a mood and rich landscape viewing. This study combines theoretical knowledge include landscape aesthetics, landscape ecology, the history of Chinese gardens, etc., through the literature review, field research and mapping, from the osmanthus fragrant plant landscape and scenery to create a configuration point of view in terms of osmanthus about "Man Long Gui Yu" park landscaping Historically, plant community characteristics, typical landscape type conducted in-depth discussion, the final results of the analysis are summarized osmanthus configuration principle, methods and classic configuration mode. The specific research results are as follows:(1) Research for the smellscape of our country is still in the initial stage, through the analysis of the smellscape, clearrly the smellscape concept, origin, characteristics and construction technique.(2) Through literature review, field surveying and mapping, investigation and summary the plant species and cultivars of Osmanthus fragrans in "Man Long Gui Yu" park. At present, there are more than7000strains of osmanthus in the park. The main Osmanthus species include four major germline, Respectively Semperflorens Group,Albus Group,Luteus Group,Auranticus Group, a total of53species. Background plants belong to43families,60generals and70species, mainly concentrated in the Oleaceae, Liliaceae, Rosaceae, Aquifoliaceae and so on.(3)The smellscape plant rich in the park, so people can smell the fragrance around the four seasons. In spring there are Jasmimum mesnyi, Jasminum nudi florum, Magnolia denudate, Rhododendron simsii, in summer there are Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, Pittosporum tobira and Nelumbo nucifera,in autumn there are Osmanthus fragrans and Chrysanthemum,in winter there are Chimonanthus praecox, The fragrance from the plant of Cinnamomum camphora can be smell All the year round.(4) Summarized the principle, the configuration method and the mode that should be followed in the configuration of osmanthus. Osmanthus following the ecological beauty, smell beauty, visual beauty and cultural beauty of the four beauties on the principles of. Plums with other landscape architecture factors(such as background plants, landscape achitecture, rocks, water, roads etc)by natural viticulture(such as planting, isolated, coupled planting),the design techniques include borrowing the osmanthus’ fragrance, the osmanthus’fragrance as the main landscape and so on, to create a rich osmanthus landscape form.
