| Plant functional traits are based on various functional traits of plant morphology, physiology and biochemical characteristics, it can effectively reflect the correspondingchanges of the environmental impact of the plant after being generated around. This is themost effective way to reveal influence between plants and plants, between plants and theenvironment interactions. This paper researched on plant functional traits of naturalregeneration of P. schrenkiana seedlings on the northern slope in the central part of theTianshan Mountains, using a combination methods of field sampling and laboratory analysis,to study the change from the natural regeneration seedling leaves, stems, and roots functionaltraits with age (from1to10a) and altitude (1450to2750m), and its height variation withaltitude and soil total nitrogen content (TN), soil total phosphorus content (TP), soil toalpotassium content (TK) relationships. Revealing the seedlings settled through environmentalscreening process adaptation strategies and the most suitable for the growth of naturalregeneration of P. schrenkiana seedlings. The main conclusions are as follows:The TK had highly significant (p<0.05) negative correlation with LMF, LKC, SSD, andSKC, had highly significant (p<0.05) positive correlation with LNC, LPC, SMF, had extremehighly significant (p<0.01) positive correlation with RMF.The seedlings paid more attention to high growth in the early stage of regeneration (from1to5a). In order to completed its initial highly growth and quickly through the stability andresilience are weakly period of updating, to through the environmental screening selectionearly. Seedlings through high SLA and high LMF, low SSD and low SMF, high SRL and lowRMF. And they took environmental adaptation strategies for stabilizing seedling structure inthe late stage of regeneration (from5to10a).The seedlings at moderate altitude (1950to2250m) through the low SLA and low LMF,low SSD and low SMF, high SRL and high RMF plant functional traits combinations tocomplete its fast-growing. Seedlings at this altitude paid more attention to build leaves androot construcion, the seedlings had higher growth rate and poor stability. They tookenvironmental adaptation strategies for highly growth in the moderate altitude (1950to2250m). Therefore, The most appropriate altitude for the natural regeneration seedlings of P.schrenkiana living on the central part of the Tianshan Mountains was approximately1950to2250m. |
