The cultivation area and yield of pear are the highest in the world in our country. In the production of pear, because of unreasonable irrigation conditions, the seriouswater leakage and fertilizer leaching phenomenon were created, while reducing wateruse efficiency. In order to study the pear’s water-saving irrigation methods, fieldexperiments for single furrow irrigation, two furrow irrigation, full irrigation, covergrass and covering grass were conducted in Yongnian county, By comparing theinfluences of different irrigation methods on soil moisture, surface evaporation, photosynthesis, yield and fruit quality in pear orchard, the appropriate water-savingirrigation technology was selected. The results showed that:(1) Mulching andirrigating orchards is significantly higher than other irrigation treatments. Fullirrigation and two furrow irrigation are significantly higher than single furrowirrigation and cover grass irrigation.(2) Mulching non-irrigated, irrigation andmulching, furrow significantly were reduced surface evaporation, by70.9%,57.1%,23.4%.(3)The descending order of leaf water content performance before irrigation iscovering grass full irrigation, two furrow irrigation, single furrow irrigation, fullirrigation, covering grass and non irrigation, which showed that the level of leaf waterdemand in mulching and irrigating orchards was the strongest, followed by twofurrow irrigation.(4) The yield of covering grass full irrigation was the best, followedby two furrow irrigation, The yield per plant of two furrow irrigation and the singlefurrow irrigation rised by27.68%and18.58%compared with full irrigation.(5) Thefruit quality could be raised in two furrow irrigation and the single furrow irrigation, such as bigger fruit size, higher content of soluble solids and total sugars, lower fruitfirmness, lower content of acidand stone cell.It is concluded that, furrow irrigationcan improve the soil moisture condition and increase the ability of photosynthesis andresult in higher yield and fruit quality more significantly than others, which is an idealwater-saving irrigation technology.
