Abstract:Longyan city locate in the west of Fujian Province which is at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces. There goes a saying to show the terrain is "Scale of mountain, water, field is8:1:1". It is an important ecological Heights of Fujian Province because of the famous original birthplace of three Rivers including Minjiang River, Jiulong River, Tingjiang. This paper has assessed the value of forest ecosystem services of Longyan City in2008,2010and2012with the guide of forestry field criterion " Assessment Criterion of service function of the forestry ecosystem" which was published in the late of April,2008, and some data published by authorities or scientific paper. Then using the this information to forecast the future value and its trend by Markov prediction method in order to better build a ecological city and supply some reference to other cities in China at the same time.The total value of forest ecosystem service in Longyan city is1692.53billion,1858.38billion and1922.40billion respectively in2008,2010and2012, that shows continuously rising trend. As a result, each item of forest ecosystem service value ranked from small to big is air purification<nutrition accumulation of tree in the forest<conservation of biodiversity<carbon fixation and oxygen release<conservation of soil<conservation of water. The spatial distribution in the scale of county of forest ecosystem service value ranked form big to small is Changting> Zhangping> Shanghang> Xinluo> Liancheng> Wuping> Yongding while each county owns no big difference.
