This study selected sow endometritis as the research object in large-scale pig farms,through the sow endometritis disease investigation, separation and identification ofpathogenic bacteria and drug sensitive test, the prevention and treatment of endometritisexperiments provide the basis for prevention and treatment of this disease effectively.The research was divided into three parts.The first part: Through an investigation of sow endometritis in large-scale pig farms(Handan region, Hebei province). There were significant relationship between themorbidity of sow endometritis and birth order, seasons, breed and delivery status. The firstfetal times and above7th fetal times in a highest morbidity, respectively,24.0%and23.1%.The sow endometritis incidence of2-6fetal times will increase gradually. The morbidity ofsow endometritis in a certain relationship with the season: October and May with thehighest incidence, respectively,23.9%and23.4%. The incidence of purebred sows wasobviously higher than that of hybrid sows. The relationship between sow endometritismorbidity and sow delivery status is: childbirth group100%. stillbirth mummy group58.6%.normal breed group8.9%. Different delivery conditions between groups within7daysweaning estrus rate, the first period, based on the relationship between the pregnancy rate:no endometritis group88.1%,80.3%.normal childbirth endometritis84.0%,76.4%.stillbirth mummy foetus endometritis group54.8%,25.8%. during childbirth0,0.The second part: Thirty patients endometrial inflammatory uterine secretions forbacterial isolation, identification of sick pigs. Five isolated bacterias were: escherichia coli,staphylococcus, salmonella, streptococci, penicillin resistance in Staphylococcus aureus.One of the main infection endometritis type for a single infection, accounting for63.3%ofthe experimental sow Numbers. The Escherichia coli infection rate is highest.With themixed infection, escherichia coli and streptococcus the highest proportion of mixedinfection, Drug susceptibility test results showed that the medium and high concentrationof ceftriaxone sodium were extremely sensitively; Levofloxacin, enrofloxacin andgentamicin were highly sensitive; ampicillin sodium, amoxicillin and lower concentrationof ceftriaxone sodium were moderately sensitive; penicillin-streptomycin and othermedicines were only sensitive to some kind of bacterias.The third part: According to the results of drug sensitive tests, high sensitive, middlesensitive and drugs that only sensitive to some kind of bacterias were given to162sowthrough uterine perfusion, postpartum infusion and intramuscular to testing the protective effects of grugs. Results showed that the three prevention methods were more effectivethan the control group, the estrus rate after7d of weaning and the pregnant rate were alsohigher than the control group; Among the three treatment methods, postpartum infusionwas the best, the incidence of endometritis was13.0%, lower than intramuscular whichwas20.4%and higher than uterine perfusion which was9.3%; The estrus rate after7d ofweaning and the pregnant rate in postpartum infusion were85.2%and83.3%separately,higher than uterine perfusio68.5%.61.1%and intramuscular79.6%.70.4%. The protectiveeffect of drugs had no relation with drug sensitive; The sensitive drugs ceftriaxone andenrofloxacin were used to75sow that infection with metritis through uterine perfusion andintramuscular, and the cure rate in intramuscular was higher than uterine perfusion. Thecure rate was40%, it means that40%of sow metritis would be cured.
