Abstract/Summary:
Xinjiang is China’s most famous "land of melons and fruits". However, orchard often in out-of-the-way and poor transportation systems area. There has large temperature difference between day and night in Xinjiang, so agricultural experimental observation field often unattended, It costs a lot of manpower and material resources in most cases, the result is highly cost, difficult management and big conditionality for agricultural research. Therefore, according to the above problems, this paper mainly develop Low power consumption orchard monitoring system based on ZigBee and GPRS, realize remote data measurements and transmission. The main contents of research is as following:(1) The hardware of orchard monitoring system. It consists of five main modules which is ZigBee wireless sensor network, sensor front-end, solar power supply circuit, GPRS wireless data transmission and serial port, sensor front-end is the core part of the system,which is mainly detecting air temperature and humidity, CO2 soil temperature and humidity, soil temperature and humidity and light intensity. On-site data were transferred by ZigBee wireless network and the network nodes, and remote monitoring center through the GPRS wireless data transmission.(2) The software of orchard monitoring system. IAR Embedded, which mainly including wireless sensor network network, the software processing design of the coordinator node and routing nodes, orchard environment parameters collection and processing, GPRS module wire-less data transmission.(3) The remote monitoring center design for orchard monitoring system. Using ASP.NET, Web and SQLServer to design the Remote monitoring center,Wireless sensor network data was transmitted from GPRS network to the data processing server, and stored in the SQL database, orchard environment data in database server were changed by Application server through ASP.NET, and publish on the Internet, realizing orchard monitoring parameters timing storage and access, help manager control orchard environment data in real time.The paper designed orchard monitoring system has the characteristics low cost, wide coverage, high speed data transmission, realizes orchard remote monitoring. The combination of ZigBee and GPRS in remote monitoring has great application value. System realizeWireless sensor network to collect data to receive, send control commands in the optimal way, can provide powerful guarantee for orchard environment monitoring.
