The book “animal genetic resources in china – sheep and goats” contains 58 Chinese indigenous goat breeds, use the clustering analysis on classify 58 Chinese indigenous goat breeds’ body weight, body size, carcass traits and reproductive traits. Combined with the indigenous goat breeds’ ecological distribution, found out the regular pattern of different production performance distributed in different ecological environment. By correlation analysis and regression analysis to find a correlation of ecological factors body size and weight, carcass traits, reproductive traits, in order to explain the regularity of this production performance and ecological distribution. The main results show:(1) Through the clustering analysis, classify the 63 local rams breeds poly physique large, medium and small categories, the 63 local ewes breeds of physical clustering of large and small categories; 48 ram breeds, 32 ewes cultivars were clustered into high slaughter performance, medium and low categories; the 47 goat breeds into high reproductive performance and low performance categories;(2) By correlation analysis, the body weight, body height, body length, the bust have a significant positive correlation(P<0.01) in each two, live weight before slaughter and carcass weight was significantly positively correlated(P<0.01), live weight before slaughter and meat percentage was a significant positive correlation(P<0.01), carcass weight, dressing percentage, net meat rate twenty-two significant positive correlation(P<0.01), ewes live weight before slaughter and slaughter rate showed a significant positive correlation(P<0.05).(3)Production traits and ecological factors correlation analysis: adult rams body weight and average annual sunshine hours was a significant negative correlation(P<0.05), body length and elevation was a significant negative correlation(P<0.05), carcass weight and average annual sunshine hours was a significant negative correlation(P<0.05); adult ewe body weight and average annual sunshine hours was a significant negative correlation(P<0.01), the bust and average annual sunshine hours was a significant negative correlation(P<0.05), lambing rate and elevation was a significant negative correlation(P<0.05), lambing rate and annual average temperature was a significant positive correlation(P<0.01), and with the frost-free season was a significant positive correlation(P<0.05), with average annual sunshine hours was significantly negative correlation(P<0.05), weaning survival rate with elevation was significantly negatively correlated(P <0.01)(4) Regression analysis of production traits: the establishment of a ram’s body size and weight of the regression model: Y(weight) = 0.869X1(the bust) + 0.620X2(body length)-71.185, determination coefficient R2 =0.768; ewe’s body weight scale regression model: Y(body weight) =-42.924 + 1.030X(the bust), of determination coefficient R2 = 0.680.(5) Regression analysis of production traits with ecological factors: establish the optimal regression model of quantitative traits and ecological factors which exist correlation.By multivariate statistical analysis, find out that goat production performance and the ecological factors have some relationship, and than establish the mathematical model between the production traits and ecological factors, the regional distribution of production performance, to give full play to the local goat breeds in China germless characteristics, improve the production performance and reproductive performance, and promote the introduction of improved varieties, has the very vital significance.
